Well, Tink decided to throw a curveball this morning. Now what. I've got the feeder... but I worry about relying on food without testing to see when he needs more. At least I THINK my schedule is pretty clear this morning, so I CAN stick around for a bit... but I also have a new employee to train and it makes it a LOT harder on everyone else if I'm not there.

What do you guys do when your kitty throws you a low number before work??

I'm at work myself, so I'm available sporadically right now....

Oh, these kitties......how much longer can you stick around? Is Tink good about feeding himself with the feeder? Are you able to run home at all to check on things?

You can try over-carbing him before you leave...the only issue is that carbs will eventually wear off.

Tink tries to "will" the feeder open with his mind power, so yes, he'll eat whatever it gives him. Just not sure how to load it. I will retest in a couple minutes - which will be 20min after the hc I gave him and a little after +2.5. I have mc and hc to load in the feeder... just not sure the best way to do it.

Plus, it's one of those things where I dont ABSOLUTELY have to be at work - so if I DO go and something happens... I'll feel horrible. UGH. On the bright side... +5 is at 10am, so I can still get MOST of my work day in. So I guess I'll stick around as long as I have to. :roll:

Well, still plummeting downward - guess I'm not going anywhere for a bit.

Looking like another reducie? Wonder if he's trying to go OTJ again. This would be the third reduction in a week.

He'll earn a reducie if he drops under 50....given it's so early, it's possible, but he's not quite there yet. Trix always liked to tease me by skating right on the edge of a reducie! It's great that you have the flexibility to stay home, although I know it does add a layer of stress.

Interesting... just got a 73 @ +3.

Guess the carbs finally hit. He has eaten an entire 3oz can of 19% this morning (he usually gets 4%). Would be nice if he'd surf now so I can go to work. We'll see. First time in awhile I haven't struggled to get him up when this happens.

Ok, seems to be holding steady now. Going to feed a regular meal and head to work. I guess we avoided the reducie for now.

Tink, you were a good boy to come up for Mama so she could go to work. Now you surf nice till she gets home, okay? Cinco's in the lagoon, too, just surfing. Why don't you hang out with him and Skooter? Just don't pick up any of their bad habits, or your Mamabean will be mad at me! ;-) :mrgreen:
