Happy Caturday, LL! More healing vines for Polly, Charlie, Cinco and Sasha, JD, Zener, Trix, Rhiannon's Shadow, Billie, Tess, Tiger, Lyresa's Dad, Elise's Mom, Wendy's Mom, and Amy's Dad. Congrats on the OTJ Trial for Shadow and Hellen!!!! Woo hoo!!!
LBG is doing superb today. I just walked into the den, she gave me a big yawn but with eyes wide open and then did that funny shaky head thing she does when she wants to play, then she took off running, hopped in her shoebox, and tried to make me think she wasn't there.  She can be so silly and I love it when she does. Which is actually multiple times daily. She just has that kind of personality. If she was a person, she'd be the kind that everyone wants to be around all the time because she's so much fun and so sassy. Tobes is doing better today. He was kind of quiet last night and I was a bit concerned but he seems to be doing much better. I think that little stitch where the tiny tooth came out is bothering him a bit but it looks good.
Missy G had a nice night-time cycle last night instead of a pj party. I consider it a nice cycle when I only have to get up once or twice ;-) I like nice, flat blue night cycles and she did oblige. She's a little bouncy this morning but she's only on the fifth cycle of the increase so patience, Grasshopper!!
Some of you had remarked about the booties I bought for Tobey for his dental. We are so blessed and fortunate to have a board certified veterinary anesthesiologist, Dr. L. I've known her for probably 12 years and she is absolutely amazing. She also does pain management. She is expensive but she is worth her weight in gold. Back to the booties, during anesthesia, the body temp drops. Dr. L has a special heated blanket for kitties (and another for dogs), that she wraps their bodies in to keep them warm but she said their feet always poke out. Putting little socks or booties on their paws keeps them from losing more body temp through their pads and helps keep them stable. I just went to Target to the baby section and bought two pair of baby booties in blue and they worked great.
Although I was "supposed" to be working yesterday (as in my job), Lupita worked me like a government mule!!!! We have several pot shelves in our house (typical of Santa Fe houses) because our ceilings are 14'. Mike and I had taken everything off the pot shelves in two guest rooms since we were having the ceilings painted a different color. So yesterday, I asked Lupita if she would hand the "stuff" back up to me so I could put them back on the pot shelves. But first, I wanted to vacuum the shelves really well (note: we do not allow Lupita up on the tall ladders even to clean....too much liability there). Welllll.....since the ladder was in the house and since I won't let her up on the ladder, Lupita decided we should take everything off ALL the pot shelves, dust, vacuum the shelves, and put it all back. This took almost two hours. Gracie was watching and I could see those little brain cells clicking away uh-huh. see how mean she is? dis why I don't like her....too much work but better you than me, mama!!!!
My cousin is coming in less than three weeks and I am getting back to my fall cleaning. At least the pot shelves are clean   But I'm redoing all the shelf paper in the kitchen and bathrooms, putting a thick coat of wax on all the cabinets, cleaning closets and the kitchen pantry. Mike said Donna will not notice any of this. But I will and it needs to be done any way so it's a good excuse. Have a great day!!
