Not quite the lagoon, but a fine effort from Ms P nonetheless. Appy is happy, but also still includes a tour of the house until she finds just the right spot before she'll chow down. I'm not sure what that's all about, but it's a phase I've seen her go through before, too. She seems to be comfortable and happy and snuggly and energetic and bright-eyed, so there is nothing else I can read into to tell me something is "off". I guess it's just "let's mess with the bean" time. It's a bit stressful on mornings when my time is limited because I have to go to work, but we manage. Anytime she's been in this mode, it's been short-lived, so hopefully that will be the case with this round of "walk-n-eat", too. I so wish she didn't develop her aversion to FortiFlora...that stuff was so amazing before the p-titis.

When I spoke with my Dad yesterday, it sounded like he was starting to come out of this round of chemo-crash. His energy was still very low (but better than Sunday) and his appy was still off, but he's trying to force himself to eat what he can. I know this part of treatment is not unusual and the crash is the one side effect of his protocol that no one seems to escape, but it's still nerve-rattling every time. Maybe someday we'll get used to it!

Time to get moving already...ugh. Where does the time go! Have a great day, LL!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

It is a nice start for Trixie today. Mr P is on duty for sure. OMG on the walk'n'eat... gotta have that perfect dining spot, I am glad though that the appy is there. Keep om chowin' down Trixie.

Good news on your dad. The crashes are inevitable but he really does seem to be handling them well. I hope that continues.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well at TBP.

Walk'n eat. Been there, chased that! Good thing we helicopter moms are persistent (or relentless if you ask the cat)! ;-)

I'm glad your DF is on the far side of the crash now and coming out of it. Thank goodness it doesn't last too long (although one day is probably too long for you all).

Sending lots of good appy and energy vines for your DF and stand still and eat vines for Trixie!

Re: 10/14 Trixie AMBG 174 "+3" 108

Amy, maybe she developed an aversion to the Fortiflora because she was eating when still nauseous before the pancreatitis was controlled. In time she might like it again. I'm glad your DF is starting to get his energy back.

Meh on that PMBG...I wasn't here for a +10 snack. I do leave fuds out, and someone usually eats it - but I don't know who it is or when it happens. I need a kitty cam!

Rough gelcap tonight, although we've had worse. Got one warning hiss and had to repack it once because it started collapsing. I just couldn't get the stupid thing in the right part of her mouth. The second packing went down on the first try. Phew.

I'm sure you're right, Elise...either the pain or nausea from the p-titis caused this aversion. Before the p-titis, she would absolutely dive for her forti flora dusted pill pocketed meds. Oh, how I miss those days! I haven't tried forti flora in a while, though....maybe I'll try a small dusting on some fuds later tonight and see what she says. Maybe she has forgotten. On the other hand, back when I was a teenager (a very long time ago now), I had a "bad experience" with egg nog, hot dogs, and champagne. Hot dogs are out of my diet anyway, but so this day I still can't even stand the thought of the smell of egg nog   ...so I wouldn't blame her if she still wouldn't go for the forti flora!

Good luck with that. Tiffany tasted pepcid in a pill pocket that she loved for about two weeks until that happened. She would never eat one again, even without anything in it. I did stop trying after they dried up though so maybe I didn't let enough time to pass.

Sorry about the plate chasing, but at least Trixie has a happy appy. I'm glad your dad is starting to come out of the crash. Sending prayers and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hooray for the great appy, I am sending healing vines for your DF, and for pilling Trixie, this is going to be rough for awhile- hugs for all of you :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hi Amy,
Walk 'n Eat sounds like good exercise for the mamabean.

We're keeping fingers and paws crossed that your Dad's chemo will be easier and easier on him. Sending vines.

Have a good, restful evening. Good gelcapping tonight!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty
