Billie had another nice day today! No coughing! (*ANTIJINX*)! Tonight was the last 1x daily pred dose. We skip tomorrow and go to every other day until she finishes what we have left, which isn't much - maybe one or two doses. I know that the coughing could come back as we continue to taper the dose, but I really hope it doesn't.
We got our new case of Wild Calling from Chewy, and it is still a different consistency/color, although this is different from the usual and from the weird kind that I got at the pet store. So, we have a 3rd variety. I guess it is a quality control issue. Billie doesn't seem to hate it, so hopefully, we can just stick with this batch.
I am questioning whether that PMPS was really 166. I was thinking there didn't seem to be a ton of blood on the strip. But, it could have been accurate, and it could just be the pred bringing her up. Oh well. I will sleep!
Tomorrow, Brooklyn has a checkup at the vet. I am pretty sure her anal glands need to be expressed (lovely), and I'm going to get routine bloodwork done since it has been over a year since she had some. She is only 7, but I figure it's good to make sure everything looks normal.
