This morning both of us will be out of the house for awhile. DH is doing his breakfast job at the local hospice, and I'm helping with a mock emergency management exercise in town. It's my first, a biological threat to the community. Should be a stimulating morning! Good thing we got a relatively normal amount of sleep last night. :smile:

Hi and many thanks for replying to remi's thread yesterday. I hadn't thought about golden syrup but always have that in my cupboard.

Remi and clare still seem to be bouncing together, hopefully they both have better numbers soon. I work in environmental health in the uk and we get involved in emergency planning exercises too.

We really need it. Clare's AMPS +1 was the highest number she's ever had.

I'm hoping that will just turn around and give us another long surf over the weekend.

The emergency management exercise was interesting this morning. We set up in the high school gymnasium, and the scenario was that anthrax had been released into the community the day before. We were to process anyone who wanted to be treated and the students were our participants. It all went pretty smoothly and there was a lot to learn and tweak for the next time. It seems very strange to be thinking of these kinds of events in our small midwestern town. But then, when I grew up we were all hiding under the tables at school to protect ourselves from an atomic bomb attack! Is this progress???
