Yesterday's Condo

J.D. is being predictable today. Normally, he dives down in about 2 hours after his shot, and today he went up.
We did have poo this morning.
He has only eaten small bites of FF on his own, so has been syringe fed mostly, and he did not get as many calories as normal last night or this morning, as I gave him some cypro last night and this morning, hoping to inspire some eating on his own. I guess I give up.

I had my squirt gun in my jacket pocket this morning, with my peanuts for the squirrels and I guess I reached for some peanuts and the squirt gun dropped to the cement and broke. I double very much is duct tape will fix it, but I feel like I need something for that stray cat. I went to three different stores this morning, and all said they don't have squirt guns as they are a summer thing (for humans :-| ).
This morning, Ginger wanted to go into the basement, so as usual, I opened the door and she went down into the dark, and I shut the door, so J.D. wouldn't go wandering down the stairs. And, that stray cat almost walked into my house.
I wish whoever owned it, would keep him inside, or he finds a new home. He keeps going into my elderly neighbors house too. If he is the "Lost Cat" that my vet emailed about, I have emailed the owner and left messages on phones and no response. I asked the vet and they said they have not heard if the owner found their cat. You would think they would at least respond to my email or phone call stating that their cat is found. Strange.

I did finally sleep in a little this morning. So, J.D. didn't get his first walk this morning, until way after dawn.

Nice numbers for J.D. Have you tried a squirt bottle for the stray cat? I know it won't squirt as far as a gun, but it might work.

Lovely.

J.D. ate some FF Beef at +10 after a long walk, and ate a few bites at PMPS.

It was a lazy day around here, and I could use a couple more, but alas, work tomorrow.

It has finally cooled down a little here in New Jersey, and maybe cool enough to turn on the furnace tonight and not the air conditioner. I so prefer the snuggily winter weather.

i broke out a new flannel shirt today - soft grays and blues. the best thing about this season is getting to pull out all the snuggly clothes.

I love flannel shirts. I used to get two for my DBF for Christmas. One in a color that I thought would look good on me, and one for him :lol:

That's my plan. I got one filled with water sitting next to the front door, for the next time we go out. Thank you Carla :YMHUG:

J.D. woke me up by purring. I spoon fed him a bunch of MC. Then he gave me a nice prezzie.

My goodness, J.D. You've been on a roller coaster today! I'm liking that blue on you. I think you should stay there a while.

I just hate it when I see "stray" cats around. I wish everyone kept their kitties inside. It's so much safer. I get very sad when I seem them outside - there are so many bad things that can happen to them. I hope that kitty finds a home soon.

Sorry I haven't kept in touch. I have a squirt gun I can send you but it's the small hand type. Is that ok? Also you might want to try an air horn. You know the type boaters use. It makes a really loud noise and we scared a coyote off with it. The coyote thought he was going to use my yard for making a bed and resting during the day but the air horn took care of the problem right away. Let me know If you want me to mail you this squirt gun. I had a cat hanging around every now and then and found out he was a feral that was fixed and is fed which explains why I see him out at night once in awhile. He even almost came in my cat door once. He had his head right at it but then turned back. That would have been a sticky situation. :-| He runs when he sees me when I see him outside. I hate to think of him being out all winter but I guess as long as he's fed that's all he knows. It must have been nice to wake up to J.D. purring. He is lucky to have you Dyana.

Thank you for your offer. I would really appreciate it. I thought asking kids if they have an old squirt gun they would give me, and the only kid I know to ask is a neighbor who likes the cat a lot and I heard him asking his dad if he could keep it, but they just got a cat, so I know his dad said "no".
I think an air horn would not be appreciated by my neighbors at the hours I go out walking :lol:
