Yesterday's Condo

Sure, Cinco. We had to go out yesterday and you didn't want to get out of the water. I'm home all day today and you surf blue. :roll: You just love to mess with me, don't you? :YMSIGH: Please, please be a good boy tonight!

I put one of the new socks I bought on Sasha last night. It was a men's 12-16 I think. I tried to stretch it out for several hours before I put it on her. It seemed great - came up nice and high on her neck. After a few hours I noticed she was making an awful lot of noise when she breathed. I was worried - was it her allergies? Had the cancer spread to her lungs? Then I had a thought. I took off the sock and the noises stopped! It was too darned tight! Poor little thing. I put on one of the baby turtlenecks, but I think it's too big and her neck is exposed. So I put the little doggie socks on both hind feet. This morning the socks were off. I put them back on and they were off within 30 minutes. So we took the kitty tape and taped them on. Now I'm stressing about whether or not they are too tight. DH put them on and he said he didn't make it too tight, but after what happened to Cinco, I'm worried. She's still eating in small spurts. I need to take her some more in a minute.

Aww, sorry to hear that you and Sasha had some wardrobe drama! I hope you find something that fits right. Would legwarmers work? Maybe in girls or juniors sizes? I am just thinking they wouldn't be as tight as socks, although the material might be too thick. I hope you all have a nice night!!

Thanks, Deanna. Leg warmers didn't occur to me! I have some, too. But before I sacrifice them, I think I have found another solution. I got some even bigger socks at a big & tall men's store, and they're looser and softer and when I put one on her, it seemed to be comfortable. However, I may still have to put a t-shirt over it, as the leg opening I cut stretches a bit and she can get at a little bit of bare skin still. :roll: I'm going to try using some of the ointment I got for Cinco on the spots that seem to bug her the most and see if that helps.

Poor Sasha. I'm glad you realized what was going on. Hopefully the new socks will work out. I hope Cinco gives you some more green soon.

What a great looking cycle for Cinco, nothin wrong with surfing blues either! I can see where some stretch socks might be too tight for Sasha, reminds me of when I first put on a spanx top, I felt like the thing was choking me too!! The last time you had mentioned t shirts for Sasha, I started researching what it would take to sew t shirts and I learned just how much I don't know about t shirt knit material! The material they use in baby clothes is probably just about perfect, not too tight but plenty of stretch. I am learning to sew knits, I even had to get a new sewing machine to make the hem, and if I ever perfect the technique(super slow learner here) , I'll send you a prototype! In the meantime, I hope you can find something suitable for Sasha, poor baby! Hope her appy picks up, Harvey too! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

p.s. How horrible for you and DH on yesterday's commute- what is with people these days??
