Yesterday's Ear Resting Condo

They call him mellow yellow ♪. Who put that record on again? Actually, maybe Cinco is just being considerate of me. He knows today is the last NASCAR race of the season, and the championship will be decided, so he doesn't want me to have the distraction of having to test him! Or maybe he just wants me to stay the heck away from his ears! He does, however, still require a back rub several times a day. Consideration for the bean only extends so far.... ;-) :lol:

Sasha did not eat the baby food I left out for her last night while we were gone, but she did eat some when we got home - about half a jar. I offered more when I went to bed, but she didn't want it. She did eat five of those Hill's hypo treats the vet tech at UCD gave me - enthusiastically. I'll have to get some more of those. This morning I gave her the Cerenia when I woke up, which she ate in the pill masker, and then she spent the next ten minutes or so smacking her lips. She did not throw up, but she was clearly feeling nauseated. I'll be going up to offer her food in about ten minutes, which will be two hours after the pill. Paws crossed it made her feel better so she'll eat.

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I'm going to be parked in front of the TV with a large bowl of popcorn.

The baby food dries up really fast so I wonder if that happened before Sasha was ready to eat? I'm glad Sasha ate later.
Coco is being considerate. Blue would be fine too though Cinco.

Hey Cinco! Whatcha doing all the way up there? Yellow really isn't your color you know. You look much better in blue or green!! Come on down to the shoreline.....I'm tired of hotdogs... going to grill T-bones tonight! ~ China

Hope the Cerenia helped and Sasha eats better for you today. At least now that the chemo is over, once these last side effects are done, she will hopefully get better and better!

A rest day for Cinco and his bean but back to bidness tomorrow (not tonight!). Are the kitties NASCAR fans too? Many vines for Sasha to feel better and better, especially appy vines.

Nothing like a cooperative kitty!!! Good boy, Cinco. As soon as all the races and hoopla is over, you can be green again. Smart boy to get those back rubs.

Poor Sweet Sasha. I hope she is not nauseous and has eaten better today. She's been through so much.

It was a good day. Cinco did stop on the blue floor, but he barely got out before he got back in the elevator and went back to yellow. Sorry about the ear worm! It just popped in my head when I looked at all that yellow! :lol: I actually don't know the whole song, just the hook line. Thanks for filling in the gaps, Ruth!

Actually, Liz, I wouldn't mind if he did a little sliding down tonight. I have a couple of appointments this week, one for me and one for Harvey, so I figure that's when he'll decided to head down - Murphy's law!

Elise, I did add extra water to the baby food, and I use Gerber, which is moister than Beechnut, so it wasn't dried out. Sasha just didn't want to eat. I gave her some Ondansetron, since I know it's ok to give that in conjunction with Cerenia, and she ate a couple bites of cat food, followed by about a third of a jar of baby food. She did eat another half a jar of baby food this evening, although I had to spoon feed her and be very persistent. I'll take her some more later.

The race was fantastic, even though my driver didn't do too well. I was on the edge of my seat the entire race. I was very happy with who won the championship, too. The kitties aren't too big into NASCAR - mainly because it means their snacks are often late and they don't get a lot of attention when there is a race on! I'm sure they'll be happy that the season is over now. :lol:

Marje, we did not BBQ. I think Mark got his fill of that last weekend at the track. I defrosted some spaghetti sauce so I wouldn't have to worry about fixing a big meal. Just salad and spaghetti tonight, continuing the lazy day theme! ;-) :lol:

Glad you guys had a fun evening with NASCAR. Mellow Yellow? I've never even heard that song! I do remember Yellow Submarine.
