Clare's BG started out very high today. I thought maybe it was a mistake but her other numbers today have been very high.

She seems okay except that her hind end is tucked in a bit like it sometimes is when she's high. She's been eating well and going outside. No vomiting. I think she caught a mouse earlier this morning, so maybe it's putting some stress on her system? It seems a strange response to a natural thing, though.

DH did most of the tests today. It's possible that he's using a somewhat different technique, although I'm not sure how that could make a difference.

I'm just hoping that Clare will be back to more normal numbers in the morning. She was doing so well!

Georgette, did you retest when you got that icky number this morning? We always retest when we get a number we don't expect. Maybe Clare wasn't really quite that high.

I'm not going to ask what the "signs" were of possible mouse action. My sister refers to it as "carnage". I'm so glad we don't have mice in our house!

In any case, I hope she slides down safely for you today.
