Looks to me like you are starting to see the increase working and the bounce clearing. Go ChiChi.

I hope so Elise.. I dont know what to do here. I want to increase more if need be, but maybe I should give the new 2.6u a chance to work first. It probably isnt enough, but dont want to rush another increase just yet.Of course, in my mind, its the insulin gone bad..I know, Ive thought that before, and it wasnt. I went to get a new vial tonight and it has jumped from 230.00 to 281.00 :o , so I said forget it right now. Im looking for the info on how to get the lantus savings card, and how to use it for a feline. cant remember how it works now  Ill need it sooner or later.

You have to sign up with Lantus with ChiChi an 18 year old human. Chris of Chris and China has a place in Canada where she and others are buying for much less. She wrote about it on my condo yesterday.

Laura, if you have a prescription, you can get a pack of 5 pens (that's 1500 units) for $133.99 plus $25 shipping from a pharmacy in Canada a lot of us are using.

They're very reliable and great to work with. They're a real pharmacy, not one of those "website pharmacies" that have such a bad reputation for customer service.

The nice things about the pens are they don't break as easily if you drop them, you can use every last drop (since they're only 3ml each and you can use them until the expiration date on the box..usually 2 years away) and they do better if for some reason you have to take one out of refrigeration for awhile.....That's what they were developed for..humans to throw in a pocket and not worry about.

They have the vials too if you really prefer them, but the pens are the better buy.

The website is http://www.canshipinsulin.com and they have an 800 number you can call and talk to if you want

There were times with Trix I thought for sure it was the juice, too....and it never was  . Hopefully a little dose adjustment will do the trick! I was able to use the Lantus card with Trix...you do need a pharmacist who is cool about that sort of thing - some are fussy and some aren't. Also, write down the birthdate you used! That is one mistake I made with Trix...when I went to register for a new card, I forgot the birthdate and the fine folks at Lantus got suspicious. Trix went OTJ right after that, so it became a non-issue....

Have a great evening, Laura!

Thanks for that info and the link Chris! I'm definitely going to buy from them as soon as I get a new script. I just emailed my vet to ask for a pen script this time. Does it matter that I'm in Southwest Florida? as far as the distance and time it takes to ship. Hopefully it arrives cool..

Thanks Amy for those tips. Yes, I always question the insulin :? But it has never failed to prove me wrong  (so far). Im giving it a couple more cycles and will increase again if she doesn't improve..YA HEAR THAT CHI CHI ??

I'm in Missouri and ordered mine the first of July, so mine sat in the post office for both Canada Day and 4th of July....and China's numbers are great!

The do pack a medical grade icepack with it along with putting it into a special envelope that helps keep it cool and then into a box surrounded by newspaper (which is an excellent insulator)

That's the nice thing about pens though...since they were designed to be thrown in a pocket and carried around, they're not as sensitive to being out of the cold as the vials are

You can call then the day after you order and they'll give you a tracking number and you can watch it go through the postal system (which is kind of fun to watch)

Chi Chi...there's a dosecrease threat out there! Better pay attention!!
