Last week's post
WCR: She's back to tolerating syringe-feeding again. She had hid in the closet between meals for a few days, but now I leave the closet door open all the time between feedings and she doesn't clamor to go in there at all. And she's back to washing her face and paws in the dining room post-feeding, less than ten paces away from where she's syringe-fed, so it isn't bothering her anymore. We're really relieved about this.
U/s appointment was this past Tuesday. KB's mommy Nina took some time off work to meet us at the hospital, which was really nice of her. Our original plan had been to videotape the u/s, but we found out at the night before that her videocamera didn't work. Which didn't really matter, anyway, because they ended up sedating her  and we weren't in the room when the u/s was done. But it was nice to have Nina's company while I waited.
The u/s report didn't seem to show anything bad beyond what we know, to my relief. I'm still waiting for Dr S, her primary vet, to call me to discuss. I had called on Thursday but the front desk didn't think the report had arrived yet (which I thought was odd). I've been out sick a couple of days this week, and have been distracted trying to catch up at tbp, so I didn't pursue it, but will call again if I don't hear from him by Tuesday. We also had rads done but the radiograph report didn't elaborate on the progression of her DJD :-x I'll have to ask Dr S and Dr F-B (her acupuncturist) for their views of the new films.
Re: her liver cysts (not sure what happened to the second cyst, the report only refers to one), the large one is indeed pressing against her stomach. This may be one of the factors behind her inappetance. The report mentioned draining it or removing it surgically, but DH and I do not intend to pursue either option; there is no certainty that her appetite will return post-surgery, and we feel the risk of surgery far outweighs the benefit. We are willing to continue syringe-feeding her as long as she needs it.
Here's a pic of her fast asleep in her blow-dried clean white fur after last weekend's bath. She's sleeping on the shelf her daddy made her - she's been climbing up it all by herself.

She has since been shaved for the u/s and she now has two little patches, one on each side of her. I hope it won't take too long for her fur to grow out again.
