Nice to see an almost-mid-blue this morning, instead of a high-blue/low-yellow. Her crazy pancreas is making me crazy...but that's nothing new   ! A typical morning here in SnuggleCity...very happy appy, abundant snuggles, and the like. Gelcap went down on the third try, sans hissing, growling, and swatting. Phew!

Ella...interesting idea about using hospital gloves will pilling. The excessive hand-washing that comes with the pilling is really drying my hands out, but I do wonder what Trix would think of the gloves. I'm going to look into the idea, though.

My civvie Petey is snuffling and sneezing up a storm. Ugh! He's happy and energetic and his appy is still great despite the sneezies....hopefully things will stay that way while he gets over this cold, and hopefully no one else will come down with it.

Today SHOULD be my Dad's 6th round of chemo. The lung infection seems to be gone, and by now his platelets should be fine (they were great last week, and without a treatment there is no reason to believe they would be too low this week). We are seeing a different doc today....my Dad's oncologist is not in the office. That will be strange...it's nerve-rattling to see someone who is not familiar with my Dad personally, but what can ya do? Hopefully it will just be a routine round and seeing a different doc will be a non-issue. We had a nice dinner last night, and he was really surprised by the pie I brought along.

Sending extra prayers out to Tricia and her civvies Minka and Harvey, as well as Georgia's Simon....feel better, little ones!

Time to get moving...have a great day, LL!

Nice green Trixie! Much better. Good chemo vines for your dad. It is hard to see a different doc. I hope it goes well. Big hugs Amy!!

Wow, Trixie. Nice, nice start to today. Happy appy, snuggly...even getting your gelcap without too much wrestling. Excellent.

Vines to sneezy. Poor little guy. Get allbettersoon, Petey.

And light to your dad for round 6. No problem with a different doc. B/W is B/W, protocol is protocol. I saw a different doc once when mine was unavailable. Since I absolutely adore my oncologist, I was disappointed, but the medical conversation was pretty much as it would have been with my usual doc.

Yea for a successful, surprise pie!

Hi, Amy, it's so nice to see a dip into the lagoon today! Atta girl, Trix!  :thumbup
Sending your dad positive thoughts today (and everyday).
I'm sure your apple pie was the perfect treat last night... mmmmmmm.

Nice slide to green for Trixie today. Keep in mind if you get hospital gloves for the gelcaps, some of them come with powder inside. Then you have to wash your hands to get the powder off. Make sure and read the box.

Sending prayers for your dad. I hope everything went well with the different doctor.

I hope Petey gets over his sneezing and it doesn't spread to the other kitties. Some of my cats sneeze around Fall and Spring. I give them 1/4 of a tablet of Zyrtec and it seems to help. I have to give it 2 or 3 days in a row sometimes. It can be given every 12 hours.

Hi Amy

I am sorry I keep missing your condos....It is great to log on tonight and see Trixie is back in the greens. How stressful indeed when she was yellow/blue. I can remember Mannie being somewhat higher this time of year, I wonder if season changes are a factor, Well, either way, it is great to see that green.

I hope all went OK for your dad today. Hugs to all.
