Good morning! Almost in red this am! She had come down into yellow from pmps to +3 and +4 last night and I fed her 1.5 oz lc and went to sleep. I cant imagine she is dropping so low overnight as to cause these higher amps. If it weren't for mom having difficulty getting test when she goes low, I would've increased the normal .25 instead of just to 2.6 Sun.pm. Im worried shes gonna dive and mom wont be able to get a test while Im at work, so here we are with no green going on day 3.Yesterday, mom tried to test at +3.5 and got an error, and couldn't reload in time to keep Chi Chi in place to retest. Mom is just getting worse at testing, especially when Chi Chi is dropping. I will give it till Friday and increase again up to 2.75. I am planning on being off Fri. and Sat. so I will give mom a break and see what her numbers do then. Im off today and will be updating later.

Laura, do you have a back-up meter? I got one from Arkray that uses the same strips as my Relion. If you have one, your mom can load both before testing in case she has a problem. If she doesn't need to use the back-up, she simply would put the strip back into the bottle. It looks like the bounce has cleared and there could be a dive today but hopefully not and just a green day.

Looks like a dosecrease might bring her down. It's just so hard, though, when testing can be iffy. I still think your mom's a champ for giving it a go even if it doesn't always go smoothly. I like the idea of loading two meters. I've had to test Polly back to back a couple of times, but she's an easy test. (or perhaps she has incredibly slow reflexes!)

Good luck if you go to 2.75 on your days off. Wait a minute. Days off???? Laura, that's great. Really relax, enjoy, and just veg out.

I missed the part about you having three days off and then had to reread it to make sure I saw it correctly. I hope Chi Chi cooperates and that you get to enjoy the time off and holiday. You sure deserve it!! :smile:
