5/14 Ann & Maggie AMPS 134; +7 151; PMPS 115

I am up since 1 am and no sleep before that time. I think it was the Starbucks coffee I had yesterday morning and then a diet Dr. Pepper soda for lunch. Earlier in the morning I had two cups of coffee at home, so too much caffeine. Well, Maggie still had no lb movement, and I'm getting worried and will call the Vet when they open. I tried sneaking some Miralax in her baby food treat and also some in her FF Chopped Grill, but no lb action. She also has cystitis. I just learned this from some insurance papers completed by the Vet's office. I guess this is common in UTI's, right!! I'm disappointed the Fortiflora didn't arrive yet! :sad:

Morning. I'm afraid her AMPS is with some Gerber Beef Stage 2 baby food. I'm surprised her bg is this good with the UTI infection and all. I was trying to get a tiny amount of Miralax into her mixed in with the baby food. She's back to sucking the juice from the canned and no lb movement since Sunday. I'm afraid to give her Mirtazapine, as it makes her super hungry and with being blocked, I'm not sure I should use it until checking with the Vet.

Well, at least you did manage one test while you were up all night. I hate when the coffee kicks in and I can't sleep. Bet you feel tired today!
Have you given any thought to trying tuna oil?

Extra water has to be given somehow with the Miralax.....sounds as if she is thirsty if she is drinking the juice only....hmmmm.
Hope the Fortiflora comes today. If it doesn't, can you get to Whole Foods and get their brand of probiotics for the weekend maybe?

Hi Pat,
Do you mean the oil from the tuna packed in oil? I could get an off label probiotics at this other health food market where I shop. I just wasn't sure about using another brand. I heard so many use the Fortiflora. The one I ordered from Amazon was Feline Fortiflora.

Yes...the oil from tuna fish. I had mentioned it the other day....do you have any around?

Well, I was just thinking that if your order doesn't come today, if you bought the other brand so you could use it tonight and tomorrow....I don't know....maybe it will arrive today....

Hi Pat,
The Vet said to try the Miralax again but 1/8 tsp. I've hidden some in her baby food treat but very little of it. Our mail usually arrives late afternoon. If nothing over the weekend, I may need to bring her in for an exam and enima. I have tuna but based in water. I will get out tomorrow am or see if my neighbor has some tuna oil.

I (Tizon) uses Miralax. I give 1/8 tsp per day. I've heard that people sometimes give twice that dose per day.... Hopefully Maggie uses the LB soon.

where there is a clear distinction made btw a UTI and a cystitis (which Tizon also got). You might want to have a look at that.
