Oliver is slowly getting a move down the BG numbers and we are starting to see more yellow and little pink, plus bloos are becoming more frequent sights.
With this last increase, I am hoping we can keep moving down with elimination of numbers over 300, a reduction of those over 200, and an increase in the numbers under 200.Scanning the ss looking just at the colors sure lets you know quickly which way the numbers are heading.

Oliver enjoyed his company yesterday and showed off his eating skills by polishing off some nice chunks of raw chicken. For those who have not observed a cat eating anything raw, it is a sight to see - Oliver eats his chicken with such relish that I know it would be mean to NOT switch him over completely to raw if I can. I don't do any online purchasing or ordering, so I'll have to find places locally for the ingredients and supplies. I am sure there have to be some places in town; I'll ask around.

It's 8am and in 2hrs, he has polished off almost a whole 396g can of foods.
Today will be weigh in day; I was late with it last week, but want to track all 3 of them weekly.

Right now is a bad time as the girls are positioned nicely on pillows in front of windows and Oliver is ..... eating.

Oliver's numbers are looking so much better!

Dr. Lisa's site has the recipe for the supplements that need to be included in a raw diet. Either Whole Foods or a good health food store should have the supplements. If you have a grinder (I use the attachment to my KitchenAid mixer) or food processor, you can do the grinding yourself vs. buying ground chicken or turkey. Oliver does sound like he likes his food chunky! Frankly, Oliver sounds like he'd be happy going out and hunting for his own food -- given his size I think your neighbors' small dogs might start looking like food!

Yeah my mountain lion loves the chunks and i did get some fresh ground chicken but given the choice the ground stuff got but a sniff. He loves the chunks, so I would have to be sure he would eat the ground with the supps but then give him mostly the chunks.

I'll look at Dr. Lisa recipe then take a printout of ingredients with me to the market next week.

As for the neighbors' dogs, there are lots of little ones but they are safe as Ollie likes medium sized chunks - if too big, he waits till I cut them in half and then he proceeds to eat them.

Wow, Gayle! That is some eating machine you have there!! And Oliver's numbers look so much better. Have a great Sunday with your 3 great kitties. I'll tell Stu that he must conjure up a "raw" dish or two for Thursday's Full Flower Moon party. Ollie is not the only kitty who likes to eat raw food.

Goodness, today is turning out to be a fine day!

Both Shadoe and Oliver are spitting out some awesome numbers!
OK I know it's not the lowest he's had, but I like that he did not go too high and will now hope that he can stick around here and not go too low and then end up with a pink ps.

Oliver is getting down there; I wonder how low he will go by pmps.
I know his nadir is late so I am not as worried as before but still, I don't quite know how to figure out how much R to use - do I look backwards to what his high was then and guess what his high will be in 4 or 6 hours?

Oh well, I went out and bought 24 cans of HC friskies so we are set.

Um, this makes it sound like he eats your neighbors dogs as long as you cut them up nicely...? He sure is precious.

Actually, the small dogs should fear Booboo, all 6lbs of her. She is scary but Oliver is like a feline Marmaduke.
