Previous Condo for Oliver

Oliver is doing pretty well, all things considered. We are up to 18uLev and tried 7uR at +1 just to see if we can slow his rise.

We are getting some pretty good numbers but with the use of a fair amount of R to keep pulling down, so I wanted to try to bring up the Lev and give less R. Well that little test went over like a lead balloon, so we will try a bit more Lev and see how it goes.

I am thinking it may be better to go lighter on the Lev and lean to adjusting the R more because R does not last long. If he decides to drop, then I can't take back the Lev but the R will fizzle and not cause a huge free fall. Anyways, I'll see if I can pick a few acromom brains for opins and see what side of floor jojo thinks is better. Since Oliver is just moving up, I have no drop experience. Yet.

I like the yellows, but would like to dump the pinks and see a bit more peeks at the bloos.

I also think I either need more coffee or I need to go back and talk to the eye doc about this new glasses script they gave me last week... cuz I read the cardboard scratcher in the background of the third pic and I swear to goodness I read it as "Stupid Scratcher" but I'm *pretty* sure it does not say that :lol:

It should actually say Booboo's Super Scratcher - nobody is allowed to touch it, IT'S HERS.
And yes, she is always doing that hissy thing, to everyone, at all the times, and for any reason at all.
I can't imagine if SHE were not a civvie! She is 6lbs of scary!

Heheh She does seem to have a bit of a 'tude Works well for her though I guess! Let's hope she always stays nice and healthy for you! As shiny and healthy as they all are... I bet she will =) Are they as soft and silky as your pictures always make them appear? Every time I see a pic of your crew I just want to reach into the monitor and touch them!

Each has a different coat.

Booboo has a short super shiny and silky smooth coat. I don't comb her much; I am not allowed, but she does not mind the furminator for short periods of time.

Shadoe has a similar top coat but she has a fuzzier undercoat. I am allowed to brush and comb her, but she is a pretty good groomer so all I get is some undercoat.

Both the girls groom each other and themselves so they don't leave much for me to do, but they like the feel of the brushing on their skin I think.

Oliver has an entirely different coat; each color is a different texture. the Black portions are finally getting similar to the shine as on Booboo, and i have just about gotten most of his fuzzy undercoat thinned out. He does not mind the furminator either but he does not like his belly touched much and his side are tender or something because you need to comb very gently on the sides - one bothers him more than the other, no idea why. Will have the vet check on next visit.
I think he was not brushed much if at all before but now the hair is finally getting quite decent. It's not perfect yet because you don't want to rush him and I brush a tiny bit every few days.

My Bella doesn't let me brush her much either, I have a soft bristle brush that she will sometimes rub her face on but I am not allowed to touch any other part of her body with it or any other brush. She watches closely when I brush the others, she hears them purring away and sees them grab the brush when I try to stop before they are ready to stop... but she wants no part of it... not even for FDCC which is her favorite thing in the whole world.

How cool that Oliver has different textures! All of my kitties have different fur from each other but Tug is the only one who has different textures, I can tell them apart in the dark most of the time. BB is super soft and sleek, Bella is sort of coarse, Tugger tends to be oily because he can't groom himself and I haven't tried to give him a real bath yet but he's got a soft underside and a slightly more coarse top, Tux is soft but not silky, Echo is silky and shiny but very thick coated like Tugger.

They are all shedding like mad right now with the warm weather and our lack of central air... but this is why I cover everything with sheets. Much easier to wash sheets and blankets than to spend hours trying to vacuum fur off the couches!

Nice flat curve there for Oliver.... however you did it with whatever insulin.
OMG I love those photos, especially the one showing the size difference between Booboo and Oliver. Wow! How cute is it that she's feisty no matter how big Oliver is.

Like CD, the photo of Oliver and BooBoo made me chuckle. He's easily twice her size and she really doesn't care.

Sheesh, I am way bigger and than Booboo and she scares the begeezus outta me.
She is basically the boss of the house. She could care less about size, but she will decide stuff like she will attempt to clean his ears but if he grabs out with a paw, she takes off. I don't blame her, she weighs 6lb and he weighs 20lb. She's not stupid and likely figures his paw grab would be tough to escape.
Plus she has seen him eat raw chicken.

I love that last picture sequence. What great cats! Hope you get Oliver's dosing straightened out. Oliver and Shadoe and Booboo are coming to the Full Moon party tonight, right? Stu is making a raw dish for all the raw-eating kitties. He'll see your gang later.

Foods? Raw foods? Oliver is almost out the door - he loves his raw chicken!
Shadoe says OK but Oliver has to keep his distance from her.
