I picked up some new medication for him today: Novifit (enteric coated SAMe) which is supposed to help with cognitive dysfunction. Theory #117 is that the circling behaviour and house soiling could be due to cognitive dysfunction. Still tapering him off Omeprazole and Ondansetron. I went to Ikea and picked up a whole bunch of cheap floor mats for him to pee on. Easy cleanup if he pees on the mat and I just pick it up and throw it in the wash.

    Sweet Bear Man.
Cognitive dysfunction... is that like Alzheimer's? (((Linda))) I hope the meds that you are tapering off may improve Bear's symptoms. And the SAM-e does wonders for theory #117.

We bought a bunch of washable absorbent poochpads a couple of months back. And guess what, she hardly pees outside the box anymore. Not that I'm complaining, but I wish I'd known before I bought up half the store's inventory ...

I hope the mats make clean-up easier for you. And fingers and paws are crossed here that Novifit helps him.

    Nice numbahs for Bear Man!

Thank goodness for Ikea and washable floor mats! I should think about those for Chloe. I have ugly carpet remnants all over the hardwood floor downstairs so Chloe's furry feet don't slip out from under her. Even though her neuropathy is better, she still loses her footing on the wood floor.

All fingers and paws crossed that the new meds bring good things.
