Purrice was a grumpy slug today. We started out pretty normal although a little sluggish. Guess he needed more
Today I changed the feeding program again, hoping to catch the onset and slow it down some with food. Well, I overdid it and let him eat too much and you can see where that went. BUT! The timing was perfect I think. It looks like the feeding caught the onset well and he was coming down slowly, not the usual plunge at +2.5, but nice. too bad I screwed it up. I let him have about 1/2 can FF LC. he gobbled taht down so fast I was shocked.
One of the issues I've found with a kitty with FD *and* CRF is that when the BG starts coming down he doesn't always get hungry and often just minces at his food. That works as I can give him small meals and just put the plate up until it's time for the next snack. Today he SNARFED that food down in like three bites and I was like wait, WHA?
Oh, no. I'm thinking, now I have to post THIS to FDMB. Yet another ohmygod_smile
So he slept most of the day and was really crabby for testing and SQ. Poor guy. He is always so cheerful but today he just wanted to sleep. I let him eat too much, his BG went too high and he was miserable. Just how I feel after a Twinkie binge.
So I backed off testing as much as I usually do. He spent part of the day sleeping on the hassock and then I let him out a few hours ago to play with the civvies. They dragged him around the flower gardens and played with him and that helped him feel alot better. He was sunning the tummy under the Hostas.
Nutmeg gave him a mohawk bath. That's where she licks his fur up on his back on both sides so it stands straight up in the middle, He just LOVES that
He is really comfy between 80 and 100 from what I've seen from his behavior. Whe he gets around 175 and up he gets slow and over 250 he gets miserable.
So again with my learning curve. Poor kitty boy. He must feel like a science experiment.
