7/12 Jake AMPS 444 - very weak but here

Jake is very weak. I've started him on urosodiol over the weekend based on advice from the health forum and the feline assisted feeding. My vet has told me that Jake is not going to get better or even stabilize. I keep hoping that he will respond to the urosodiol. Miracles can happen. On Saturday Jake was super low. Then yesterday and today AMPS he has been super high in the 400s. I'm not sure how he can be so high. I've been syringe feeding him extra food, but he doesn't seem to absorb the nutrients.
Every day for the past week I don't think he will make it, and then he does and will show a little spark of energy, whether it's trying to get to the litter box on his own or getting excited about his favorite food. I just take it day to day and hope for the best.

when alex became so sick with liver and kidney disease last march, the vet told me she'd either respond to treatment... or she wouldn't. all we can do is treat the symptoms and hope for a favorable response. take each day, one at a time. miracles do indeed happen.

I'm a believer in miracles too, even if they are as simple as a small rally during this hard time.

BTW...Spot had a luau yesterday and a bunch of the kitties rented a moonbeam to go and visit their buddies that weren't up to the party...they visited Jake..maybe Jake is just a little tired out from all the company ;-)

Thank you so much for all the kind thoughts and well wishes for Jake. I truly believe that is what is keeping him going right now.
Awww, it was so kind of you all to rent some Moonbeams and visit Jake from Spot's party. He had a good time, I know it. He is tired out from all the fun today. He was too tired to tell me about it this morning but maybe he will later.
I just talked to my daughter who checked on Jake and said he purred when she petted him. I am taking 1/2 from work today and might take Jake to the vet again today.
 
Sending prayers for that miracle. And miracles do happen. I really hope that Jake is feeling better today. Healing vines & energies coming your way.
