Good evening!

It's been a busy weekend around here, but the house is now nice and quiet. Our long term house guest has moved out, and all is back to normal...well, it will be once I clean the guest room and put it back the way I like it. ;-)

Emma surfed some greens last night, and looks like she may have today as well. Her AMPS was 267, and at +2 she was at 197. When I tested her again at +7.5 she was at 193.

She's a little sleepy today...wondering if she might be developing a UTI, so I'm giving her some grapefruit seed extract and will see how she is tomorrow.

what makes you suspect possible UTI?
What's happening in the litter box area?


Numbers are looking great thou - she could be just bouncing around.
Let's see what others think too!

Hi Ronnie -

She gets UTIs a lot - I know they're coming on when she gets very sleepy. That's the first symptom for her. She's peeing outside of her box, but that's not entirely unusual. Since she lost most of her vision she stands in the box and hangs her butt outside and pees on the basement floor. So, I don't notice anything different there at the moment, but she definitely seems more sleepy than usual. I've been able to combat them with grapefruit seed extract and it has helped keep her off a/b's so often. So I'm starting her on a few drops a day for a while and we'll see how she does.

thanks Sienne and Michelle! Yup, she was at 216 @ +2, and now is 155 @ +3! Maybe some greens again a little later tonight!

I'm hoping we can stop the UTI quickly - it's just no fun for either one of us when she gets one and has to be on a/b's, because they put her on them for 4-6 weeks because of her previous pyelonephritis. And she likes to puke them up too, so we don't want that now that she's on insulin! She'd have one freaked out bean everyday, wondering if she had puked up all her food while I was at work!

Emma's in a hurry to get back to good numbers! You might want to feed a little to slow this drop.
