Good Morning LLer's
Checkers has been complaining last few days, about shot. It's a brand new box of syringes. I see nothing, no burrs, on needles. Yes, he doesn't like flank, and last night pulled away, but this morning I did scruff, and he still growled. He has never done that before.
He still kept growling, even as I was loving on him afterward. It's routine, and he always purred at the 'after shot' cuddling.
He has appt. tomorrow with vet, for routine checkup and tests.

As if that isn't stressful enough. I found a family of mom and 3 kittens sitting at the end of my driveway this morning. I can't judge age, but they are old enough to take off when they saw me, but still staying by mom.
I live in a rural area, they could have come from a farm waaaaay up the road. I can only hope they make their way up there, in case they were abandoned.

Checkers, be nice to mommy, no growling! Maybe he is remembering that flank shot and expecting discomfort? I hope he gets over it soon. He's coming down nicely this morning, go Checkers!

I hope the mom and kittens weren't abandoned. :sad:

Nice drop this morning, Checkers!

I was thinking the same thing...wondering if the syringe is different than usual? I hope it gets better. And I hope the momma and kittens have a home and they find their way back soon.

nice slow drop today checkers .. thats the way to do it! I hope he get's back to not growling at shot time. Its another world war here at shot time with mocha. She has never once not fought us in the year and a half we have been doing this. I hope those kitties find their way home ... poor babes ..

Okay, I'm glad he's coming down slowly, but I wanted to leave huse for a couple of hours, and don't know now if I should.
He just ate snack....anyone want to assure me that he won't suddenly drop dangerously in 2 hours. Huh,huh,huh??

Leave him another snack nearby where he will find it, and he will be ok. cat_pet_icon

If it makes you feel better, test him one more time before you leave.

nice day for checkers! almost green! and I agree with Ronnie - he will be ok - yes! leave another snack, he will be fine.

and so you have adopted another four? huh??? well maybe not - but I do hope they get to where they were headed. poor babies.

Thanks Ronnie. I think I will wait another hour, until +6. I'll still leave food.
I need to visit my DD's drooler, while they aren't home to see me cry.I need to be strong for her, but I've loved him for 14 years. His is termilly ill, and they have a 'date'.

Kitties must have left my yard, 'cause my civvies aren't in the window, swishing tails anymore. Checkers slept thru 'kitten watch'. :-D

Michelle.....no no no, no more adooptions. I have 3 in a mobile home. That's all I can accomodate. I can't even feed them, because I have no barn, garage, etc, to keep them in winter. NY winters are hard!
The shelters are full of cats now. There are farms nearby. If need be, I can ask a neighbor to let them earn their keep in the barn. Hay is nice and warm, I hear.
