I'm starting to give up hope that she's ever going to get better.

She ate around 1 1/2 Tbsp Wellness breakfast. She had about 1/2 Tbsp Wellness snack at around +8. I gave another tiny piece of a cypro tablet this morning again, to try to encourage more eating. Last night, the cypro she had didn't make her eat like crazy as it has on other occasions, but she did come and ask me for food and ate more than she has been eating lately.

That's all I've got. I'm so tired I'm considering some btb, but I really should get to work. Decisions, decisions...

Re: 8/23 Kasha AMPS 129, 182 @ +1.75 Update

So, tomorrow I'm dropping Kasha off at the vet at 8:00 am so they can keep her and add her to my vet's surgery time. She wants to sedate her and explore to make sure that she's not having additional problems caused by that one tooth socket. Additionally - she may have more chest films and I asked for a head/skull x-ray as well.

Tomorrow is my birthday. I hate my life right now.

Re: 8/23 Kasha AMPS 129, 182 @ +1.75 Vet Update

Krys, things will get better.
All fingers and toes crossed that they find something out tomorrow, that helps her to breath easier.
Happy Birthday, one day in advance.

Re: 8/23 Kasha AMPS 129, 182 @ +1.75 Vet Update

Glad you ar4ranged for her to go to see the vet.
Things are not going so well right now...but you will get by.
There isn't much I can say to cheer you up and it sounds as if a good cry would be a good thing for you right about now.
Maybe they will discover something that will help Kasha...in the meantime, you have to be the strong one. You are doing a great job under these trying circumstances...you really are!!!
Sending cyber hugs to you.... :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: and hopes for a good outcome tomorrow!

Re: 8/23 Kasha AMPS 129, 182 @ +1.75 Vet Update

Krys, I'm glad the vet could see her so quickly, but I'm so sorry for the situation. Gentle hugs to you both. It's so hard when your furry loved one is struggling. I hope the vet is able to help.

(((Krys)))
I'm so sorry Kasha is still congested. I think you are wise to have the vet take a closer look at her since she isn't improving. I'm sure you have done the same research I have, and know the likely causes. Have you asked the vet about allergies? Just another cause to consider if you haven't explored it already, and less invasive to diagnose...I know how frustrating it is, believe me! But you just have to keep ruling things out until you find the answer. Hang in there! :YMHUG:

Something must really be wrong - it's finally affecting her numbers. How incredibly depressing. I'm really worried.

She did eat her dinner very well though - we had a FF fish flavor - which is rare. I didn't mix it with water to form the usual soup - I just let her eat it and shaped it into a tiny mound (repeatedly) for her to eat more easily. And, for the first time since her dental, she actual ate bites of food instead of just licking at it. In fact, she ate up a little over 1 3/4 Tbsp dinner pretty quickly (usually we are eating for 20 - 30 min - this time she ate it up in less than 10 min). I wonder why.

Breathing still sounds just awful. It's really hard to listen to her.

I'm skipping my walk tonight - just going to get a snack and a movie and watch it with her.

I'm so worried about tomorrow... I'm going to be asking for all the white light (or blue or green or whatever) and snowflakes and vines you all can offer...

healing vines and a ton of snowflakes being sent for Kasha and (((((HUGS)))) for you

Oh Krys, I know how hard it must be for you right now, but tomorrow will come soon and Kasha will get checked out. We are sending all the white light, healing vines, and blankets of snowflakes for your girl tonight. Try to get some sleep. I hope you will get some answers tomorrow and that Kasha will be feeling better very soon.

Many hugs,

Ella & Stu

A blizzard of snowflakes and acres of vines.

Please make sure the vet gets a chest x-ray tomorrow and maybe ask your vet whether this could be asthma.

We had a chest x-ray 3 weeks ago and everything looked good except for the suspicious "mass" that the radiologist said was a calcified bronchai/bronchus or whatever. As of Friday, her lungs sounded fine - it's all upper respiratory - she keeps trying to pull in air thru her nose and there's so little room and she sucks the air in with all her might. That's why I want the head/skull x-ray if I can only afford one.
