Good Morn-
While being back is not what I want to see- it is so great to be back with such a supportive group.
Pedro had a wonderful time at Shadow's party last night- he even sprouted a hint of green! It's for sure no one slept at Pat's last night. Good thing my home computer was on the fritz or I would have had the Brownie munchies. I wonder if anyone did make some?
His yesterday recap (sorry i didn't post last night as my home computer was just being wierd. May have to do something about it)
PMPS:124 (yea), +3 107, + 5.5 99
He didn't get up this rainy morning so he got his full meds and shot in bed. Finally got him up to eat.
Just want to let everyone know that although he is getting all these meds for pancreatitis and he has Cushing's- he is a happy boy. Just hope tp get the %#+$# pancreatitis under control so we can back him off of some of the drugs. Most P's are usually in place (he is too cool to play).
Sienne - thanks for the research. You are a the FDMB "google". I have spent a lot of time researching the food issue and there are some very good articles out there - including the one you noted and one on a panel discussion sponsered by IDEXX (they do the fPL test). All indicate that fat is not really being seen as a major culprit and ECID. The IM vet doesn't buy it and I decided to not have the fight with her. I am going to continue with her for the Cushings treatment and followup ACTH testing every 4 months but am going back to my regular vet for everything else. If/when we can get the pancreatitis back down I will try to do a diet change.
I will definetly post to Health - thanks for the suggetion. I have really been looking to find a low fat, low carb, good quality canned diet and haven't found one yet. Using J&B's tables.
