Good morning!

Don't have much time to write this morning, as I'm running late and need to get to work on time. We're having a bit of an emergency there, so I don't know what my day, or even weekend, will look like. Hopefully I'll be able to be around to do some testing. And I hope this new dose kicks in! I feel like she just wants to stay in the yellows forever. :YMSIGH:

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hope you come home to a really nice PMPS that makes you happy, after a hard day of work :-D

Re: 8/27 Emma AMPS 290

Sunshiny yellow eh? You might look very pretty in blue Emma...would you try it on to see how you like it? confused_cat

Re: 8/27 Emma AMPS 290 +9.5 315

I have no idea what's going on. When I got home she was at 315 and starving. I gave her a little snack, and she gobbled it up like she hadn't eaten all day. I know the dogs didn't eat her food, because they can't reach it. And she's higher than her PS number. :YMSIGH:

Re: 8/27 Emma AMPS 290 +9.5 315

Just another crazy number, I think. How old is your insulin? Or she may have dropped during the day and the 315 is a bounce. If she was very hungry, that could mean that she dropped. Anyway, you're home now, and all is well. Have a great weekend.

Re: 8/27 Emma AMPS 290 +9.5 315 PMPS 345

Thanks Ella. She's at 345 for her PMPS and still very hungry. I had to take her food away so she wouldn't gobble it all down at once. She usually grazes, and goes back and eats a little more every 45 minutes-1 hour. I'm going to have to control it tonight it seems.

I opened this insulin pen 3 weeks ago, and I haven't dropped it or left it out at all. I even brought it to the cape wrapped in a towel and inside a little cooler. So, I don't think it's that. It's just frustrating.

See how Emma does over the next 24 hours and if things are still much the same, it looks like you've got room for a dosecrease. Could you note on your SS when you opened a new pen? (If it's there, I couldn't find it.)

Re: 8/27 Emma AMPS 290 +9.5 315 PMPS 345

Ok, thanks Sienne. The new pen start is on my spreadsheet, but there was other stuff on the line with it. I just bolded it so it stands out.

Kristen, you ar not alone in the frustration, that's actually an alternate spelling for FD. You will see beans all happy for a few days or a week and then a step back and it's hair pulling time again. It's slow going for most of us, but there are those few exceptions that make us wonder what we are doing wrong. the answer is , nothing. It just takes as long as it takes. Take a step back and just look at Emma. I bet she looks a whole lot better than when you started. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: cat_pet_icon :YMHUG:

Re: 8/27 Emma AMPS 290 +9.5 315 PMPS 345

Thanks ladies. I wish I could say that she looks better, but she really doesn't. Her numbers are still pink and yellow - like they were when we started. She does hit an occasional blue or green, but for the most part she stays higher. I know it's a process, and I can see how long some people have been at it. We've only been doing this for 2 months, but I would just like to see SOME progress, and I feel like we haven't made any. Of course it's been a hard couple of days at work, so this adds to my frustration. Thankfully the emergency I mentioned this morning has diminished so that makes life a little easier. I won't have to work over the weekend.

Sorry to vent...I do appreciate knowing that you all know how I feel! Thanks for reading!
