Morning Barb & checkers! We are both on our 5th cycle at our new doses...waiting for some nice activity in the blues and greens....that +3 last night shows promise Checkers... How about finding that range again today boy, okay? confused_cat

let's hope this pink start to the day is a bounce from that red to blue last night at +3 and that it clears out quickly! Have a great day guys!

Tray is keeping Checkers company on the pink floor, lets see if they can both leave and move into the blue zone.

Snacks (LC and tuna) don''t seem to keep him from dropping fast. I didn't want to have to give MC for morning snacks, but I suppose I can experiment,when I'm home.
Trouble is, he doesn't always drop and then I've given him carbs for nothing.

He had a snack at 3.5, and then slept until almost +6.

Tested at +6....at 63......Gave 1 teaspoon MC. He ate most. I can't even get excited with him anymore, because he climbs back up so quickly.
Will test again at 6.5......oh it's almost that now.
Back in ten minutes.

This kid just can't be trusted. After getting a 164@+3, decided to save on strips and not test every hour.. as I am a testing freak! I mean, how low can he go in 3 hours? He has not been getting low nadirs.
So with that in mind, I waited until +6
First strip gives me 39....WHAT!!!!!......two more strips give a 62 and 64....I settle on 63....gave 1 teas MC...he didn't eat it all.
Now, one half hour later, it is 112....or 113....didn't trust strips again.
so much for strip saving today.

He just hates green!!

Maybe Checkers is really carb sensitive. Have you tried something in between? For Tess 7% to 10% usually acts like HC.

When I see a drop like that +3 I start giving just a little higher carb snack or meal if it's that time.

Wow, lots of nice numbers today Checkers! Good job - now try to slow down those drops. You don't want to make your mom crazy!

Checkers sure was keeping you busy earlier today nice numbers though for him you just hate to see them diving like that really wakes us Beans up when they do that
 
I would feed mini-meals at PS, +1, +2, and +3. If you see more than a 100 point drop, add some gravy. See if that works to slow things down.
 
ditto on what sienne wrote. Still an awfully nice day for Checkers. Sorry for the bounce - I hope it clears quickly.

Checkers and Shadow are on the pink floor tonight. At least your boy had exciting numbers today which is a very acceptable reason to be on the horrible stupid boring floor. :-|
