Well...I woke up at +6 last night to test him, but he'd been sleeping and looked ok, so I ended up skipping and going back to bed. Woke up at +8 when his feeder went off and sure enough he was right there to eat it.

About 30 minutes before his AMPS time he was meowing a lot in the kitchen so I figured, what the heck, test him now....He was at 77!! So now I'm freaking out that he might've gone low last night and I'm so dumb for not testing him when I had the chance!!! And then 30 minutes later when I got his PS, he was even lower at 67!! I don't know why he was continuing to drop, but I fed and shot the 67. Gave him 1/4 can 10% FF instead of even dealing with the normal LC. I have to go to work til about his +6 so I'm hoping the MC off the bat will help keep him in line while I'm gone.

Beautiful greens Lightning....are you home for awhile to get a +1? If not, then you did leave food out, right Pamela?

I'll be here till +2 and then I'm off to work. I will have the food in his feeder and I'm going to be putting some 10% toppers in them that's for sure. I'm not trying to not allow a nice green surf, but I will will take an accidental bump into blues with the MC if I have too. That way I can rest easy.

Whew...so glad you are there for a bit...silly me...you didn't mention that so I am glad you clarified!

No worries, if I had to leave when he was this low, my BF is home til +2 so I would've made him test if I couldn't!

+1 is 64, gave another 1/4 can 10% to try and keep him steady....

I would probably test in a half an hour to see if that 10% is bringing him up. The sometimes wobble and you would do well to keep ahead of the drops at this point...if you have to leave at +3, KWIM?

What's KWIM? I for the life of me can't figure that one out!

Ok, back from work and he's doing great!!! +2 74, +5 75! I thought the 10% would blow his numbers up but it looks like they've done the trick by keeping him where he needs to be. Kyle (BF) got the +2 and fed 1/4 can 4% with a tsp 10%. He got another 1/4 can 4% at +3 and +5. Looks like he's doing great....minus a really stinky poo he just left me in the office! Ugh!! I need a gas mask!! It was a little loose and that's the first time I've noticed that in a while. Maybe it's from the 10% food....he did get more than he's gotten before. Guess I'll just keep an eye out and see if it continues.

Looks like Lightning is in the mood for playing, so I gotta go find his favorite Mousey and get to playin'!!

Ahhh...I never would've figured that one out! Thanks Pat!! He's had an awesome green surf all day!! But now I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop.....he can't be doing this good and not have something bad happen....guess that's just the pessimist in me... :-|

Ok, is it bad that this WORRIES me?? I should be happy right? But no, instead I'm freaking out wondering what has caused such good numbers all day!! Is there NO pleasing us with this disease???

I fed 1/4 can 10% and shot the 1.5U...guess I'll stick with what worked this morning and see if I get the same results...

Nice numbers!!

If Lightning has any sensitivity to gluten, the gravy may be the culprit for the loose poo. Keep track if the problem occurs only when you're giving HC.

OK, even Kyle told me not to stress about these AMAZING numbers so I'm doing my best!! Just got back home for the +2 and we are doing great at 74! I will be up much of the night getting spot checks so I know for sure he's still doing good. I'm still mad at myself for last night...arrgghh!!!

Sienne, good suggestion...I'll keep track of the gluten/poo situation and see if that might be a culprit. I've never given him this much 10% at once, its usually the normal LC and then a tsp of the 10% on top. This time I went straight for it and it was 1/4 can 10%. I'll review my spreadsheet for last time I gave a high amount of the 10% and see if I had any poo comments.
