No Curry kitty drama last night. She's a little more relaxed. And is eating again.


Yup...she's a gonin up.

Gave her a fat .5 this morning. I knew that .3 wouldn't hold her.

I didn't know if it was a good idea to go w/the full 1 unit this morning or gradually up it again. Went w/a cautious approach and gradually upping it.

Forcefeed Sidney last night and this morning. She's really not interested in food. She was kinda, sorta eating the tuna but not much. Will call the vet tomorrow.

Little sleep last night....noisy new place.

Hey how about some +5 and/or +6 spot checks today?
Not sure about the f.50u, but I hope you are prepared to monitor. :mrgreen:

I'm gonna dish out some noodles. You're dose hopping. Remember, with Lantus you don't base your dose on the pre-shot number -- dose is based on the nadir. Curry's numbers were looking fine even though the decreases weren't "earned." At this point, it looks like Curry wanted to stick at the previous dose. I'd go back to your 0.3 for tonight since Curry just earned that decrease.

I now have more cat food related items in my frig than bean food related items.

Btwn the 2 cats right now....they are driving me crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy.....try this, try that....meow, hiss, grrrrr. Increasing bg, decreasing bg....more hissing, more meowing....Do they make Feliway for beans too....oh yeah...its called valium....maybe need to ride my bike instead....

Curry is kinda sorta intersted in her food.....Sidney is now getting some food thru "assisted feeding"....I like that word much better....It helps me to relax when I'm feeding Sidney by syringe....of course she'll probably have stomach issues since she isn't use to the food....

Part of my problem is not getting enough quality sleep. Going to buy one of those white noise machines to help w/the noises here.

I'm actually doing OK.....Just needed to vent this morning... And, oh ya...check Curry cuz she dropped like a freakin rock...GEEZ LOUISE!!!

Resorted to assisted feeding last night...She getting nutrition now...Will call the vet tomorrow morning to try and get some meds.

I think the 167 was a fluke number....bet it was lower.....of course she wasn't hungry after +1....

Gravy on the side...

Test every 30 when she gets down this far...You bet.

WOW - looks like a busy morning for you. Wow on the +2, and good catch!

I am glad to read that Curry is eating better. One battle down? I hope Sidney will feel better soon.

Hopefully...we've got a surf going now......

I would have caught the 47 before it dropped so low if I wasn't influenced by the +1 at 167....That number just seems a bit bogus...she's never had that much of a drop in an hour before this occurrence. Ummmm.

Its really nice out today...Highs in the mid to high 70's. Delicious!

No excuse for not riding the bike today.

a bike ride after Curry's +4 would be a great way to clear the cobwebs, prolly help you sleep better tonight. we sleep with one of those sound machines every night - with 4 furballs, there is always a bit racket, they sleep with us on and off thru the night and there are inevitable territory disputes.

Tena Curry is doing great. So are you! cat_pet_icon Grab a little tlc for yourself in between. If you can. My DD always takes a bath or does her nails when stressed.

Wow Tena, Curry got your attention, didn't she? The +1 could have been bogus, or it could have been real...if Mr P is working, on top of onset, that could easily explain that drop! Good catch either way!

I hope Sid starts eating on her own soon. Sending eating vines. Have a great bike ride!

Did you see Muffin finally ate some rotisserie chicken - maybe the three of you can split one for your supper tonight. sounds like Muffin went for it in a big way - and it's cheaper than a vet bill. :lol:

Yes, Tena, Muffin loved the rotisserie chicken...so much so that I think she ate too much too fast...and upset her little tummy a bit. If she keeps at it, I'll send her over to talk to Sid. I have to admit, I sat Muffin down last night and had a heart to heart with her - told her I just want her to feel better and that she needs to eat. And look at her today! Never underestimate the power of a good talkin' to! ;-)

Went back to .3 at Sienne's suggestion. Lantus like consistency. :mrgreen:

In looking back on why I wanted to increase....It was more based on the nadir in the 90's......When she was doing so well, she would drop slooooooooowly to low 60's and surf there a little.....and then have a nice pre-shot of just over 100.... Maybe I was trying to force it a bit this morning...didn't want to lose any momentum.....But I probably need slow down a bit and let multiple "systems" recalibrate...Curry...., Sidney... which impacts Curry, and myself... which also impacts Curry. But I was really kinda liking her surf today. I can always go up in increments of .1 if/when needed.

Sid is still not eating....Out of habit she will jump up on the table where I usually feed her but she won't touch the food...So there might be some interest...just no follow through...The assisted feeding isn't too bad......We are taking our time and I'm petting her in btwn the servings....Slowed myself down while I was doing it.....At least I know she is getting some food in her. Did try some chicken...poached...not the good stuff like Muffin.....She might taste it but just doesn't want to eat. All her P's are in place....not playing too much....She is much more calm...and there seems to be less hissing today(on my part too.....I hate it when I'm growling and hissing).

The bike ride brought up my endorphins.....my drug of choice......and it was beautiful day. Only 7 more presents (boxes) to open(unpack) and its looking a little more organized here.


Thanks for all the support today folks....That felt warm and fuzzy....Kinda was needing that.....(((((((Hugs))))))) to all of you!!!

Glad to hear everyone is having a mellow evening. We all have those morning where we just need to get out and exercise. Really does boost the mood :-D I hope Curry has a nice surf this evening!

I wish I could of gone bike riding, but my drug of choice was popping tylenols to get rid of my snotty cold :sad:
