WCR Mister Do Lou is well this morning other then having a streak of horrible high yellows I know it could be worse but I have gotten spoiled to those blues I went bk up to 2.75 since I made the mistake I think of reducing too soon watch him prove me wrong on that we have 4 P's so far and kittens have gained a wee bit more this morning I did feed at 2 last night but so far have weighed them today and right now she is nursing so will have to feed later I think she just does not have enough milk since they nurse on her a lot but still do not seem to get enough guess I have been lucky since in all our years of breeding she would be my first with not enough milk

Good morning Lisa and Do Lou! Seems to be a yellow morning for some kitties - Mannie is too. Funny how we get so used to, and spoiled by, those blues and greens. I hope Do Lou makes it back to the blues today - looks like he will. Nice drop at +2.

It is good that they are nursing though. Is it like humans where the more they nurse, the more milk is produced? Have you increased her fluids at all? Wondering if that makes a difference. they are such cutie patooties....they look so good and it's great that they are gaining wieght. You are doing a great job Lisa! :YMHUG:

Yes Pat it is like with people that is why I tried to not feed them at all for a day but then they lost a bit of weight I was hoping that since they had gotten the hang of it ( this was over the weekend I did this) that they would make her milk increase but even with a lot of nursing she just is not a big milk producer it seems this is her first litter so hard to say if we will breed this girl again or not. Sometimes I like to give them another try and sometimes not breeding like I have said can be so stressful and such a pain the kittens are a joy but honestly I have wanted to quit breeding for over a year but DH wants to keep showing so we continue to breed on a small scale for now anyway. Thanks for the compliment it is a nice litter very nice color on all 3 of the reds.

Hi Lisa. I'm always glad to hear the kittens are nursing, even if mama doesn't have enough milk right now. The kitties are trying and that's good. :smile:
Do Lou is coming down and that's good too. Checks is on the yeller floor with him at the moment. Wonder who will get to blue first? No diving guys!!!

Nice slow slide down for Do Lou this morning. Blue is just around the corner, you can do it Do Lou. Great pix if the kittens yesterday, you are doing a wonderful job.

pmps 117 well DH and I went for a nice hike this afternoon and I came home to the automat untouched cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam its just so frustrating I put his fav merricks in there cowboy cookout and its just ignored and he is hungry confused_cat confused_cat when is he ever going to use this sigh.... nice pmps to come home too I am off to feed the little ones

Hi Lisa, Maybe Do Lou doesn't like eating from the tray in the automat. You could look around and see if you can find a small dish that would fit inside the tray. Somewhere on the board I read of someone doing this and it worked. So glad to hear that you had a nice hike today.
