Yesterday

Good morning LL!

Emma's doing well - I just heard her in her box so we have at least 1 P so far today. She's not all that happy with my selection for breakfast, but has decided she's hungry enough to eat it.

I'm noticing a pattern with her lately. When her numbers are down she's less hungry (which I know makes sense), so she eats less at her meal time, but she also sleeps through her snack that's available to her from +8.5 to +9.5. With her nadir happening late in the cycle it gets me a little worried that she may go too low. The last two nights I'm convinced she woke up when she heard the feeder turning at +9.5 as it moved to an empty dish, and then started yowling because she was hungry and couldn't get at her food. She's missing her afternoon snack too, and stalks me for the 2 hours between the time I walk in the door and her shot time meal. I think I need to feed her less at mealtime to make sure she's hungry at snack time, but then I get worried about not leaving enough food out for her while I'm at work. Oh kitty - my hair is already gray, now you're making me pull it out! ohmygod_smile

Kitty induced baldness....Ewww....not good Kristen. Its strange....once you get one thing down pat w/your kitty, another aspect of her life changes.....trying to figure them out can drive one mad......no hair pulling please.

My kitty doesn't eat as much when his numbers are lower either. Especially in the blues for some reason.
I do notice he drinks water when he feels himself dropping. I basically free feed (lots of food out) while I'm at work. That may not be the best, but I want food out when he needs it, and with two cats in the house, that's all I know to do.

these cats can be frustrating, hope you get the food thing figured out.

Nice amps for Emma - I hope she has a great cycle this morning. The food can can be so frustrating. It's hard when one works too. We struggle with the auto feeder too - sometimes he just doesn't here it - aiyee! I wish you luck!

I tempt mine with Freeze dried Pure Bites chicken...they love it! but I MUST shave some on top of each meal every day. It has become a NEED. It drives me crazy! If they walk away from their dish, I fluff the food that is left and add more FD chicken and they go back and eat more. ohmygod_smile They have trained me well, dontcha think? Whew...just got a delivery this morning finally and feel so relieved now that I have my FD chicken in stock. :razz:

it's rare when the binkster doesnt eat, but thanks to pat i got the pure bites also, and they are a big hit here...

oh no Pat. You didn't put a yankees bandana in Emma's condo. That is just not right!

You do know the two teams red sox fans route for don't you? The Sox, and whoever beats the Yankees! :lol: So of course I'm routing for Texas - Go Rangers!
