Well he is still eating much less but I am wondering if this is better for him then eating a lot he has been on cyproheptadine almost the entire time since his Dx back a year ago well not when he was on dry but to encourage him to eat off dry it was started but it makes him really hungry I know there needs to be a balance with food and insulin but I sometimes wonder if too much eating affects him, I did not give the cypro yesterday to see how well I could get him to eat without it and he eats but just not a lot but he is overweight so guess that could help some too more for me to think about I guess this is his lowest amps in a long time good thing I am home for I know I would have not wanted to give the 4U to him. Only 1 P so far purring I am sure all the rest will be present soon. I've never heard of giving cypro for so long, but what do I know. Maybe, if he's overweight, a little less eating would be a good thing.

Do Lou, these are fab numbers this morning. A little diet could be a good thing, just don't lose too much weight Do Lou, no one likes a skinny minny.

Beautiful numbers this morning, Lisa! Nice timing too, when you are home anyway....Do Lou gets a gold star for being so cooperative! :mrgreen: Good luck with the feeding, hopefully he will settle into eating a decent amount without the cypro so you don't worry about him. Have a good day!

Maybe losing a little weight will help Do Lou's numbers, Lisa. I don't know, but its worth a try. That sure is a nice amps. I hope to see some green in this condo later. Have a great Monday, Lisa.

Very nice numbers for Do Lou today, his pix are so handsome and the kittens adorable. Are they from the first or second litter?

Ele may be right on the weight, I've been adjusting Tess's food and figuring out how much she needs to maintain weight on a calorie basis and then how much food she needs based on calories per can. I may have been trying to get her to eat too much.

Yeah I am kinda thinking I have been trying to get too much food in him as well Ann so going to change our feeding routine and see if it makes any changes with his numbers
 
Ele..Blackie had a lovely surf of blue today and that PMPS is almost BLUE!! HOpefully +1.5 is just a food spike and he'll come back down.

I did put Curry on a diet after we got stablized on the lantus. I had used one of Dr. Lisa's calculations for overweight kitties. And then I would weigh her every 3-4 days to make sure she wasn't losing it too quickly....no more than .3oz a week. I not really sure what her ideal weight should be though.....She hasn't been back to the vet since her dx in July.

Glad to have you and Do Lou back here. We missed ya.
