Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 - lowest yet

Hi Karrie - Maverick's SS is looking so pretty. love all those greens. I think he likes this dose and you are doing a great job with this.

Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 - lowest yet

Beautiful AMPS Karrie! Since this is the lowest you have shot, please get a +1 and +2 to start out. Maverick is doing so well...and so are you! :-D

Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 - lowest yet

I wouldn't have this confidence without you guys. And I'd need some sort of anti anxiety prescription myself to deal with that vet.

Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 +1.5 103 (still a pretty blue)

She would call me and tell me I test too much, I didn't listen to a thing she said, that he is too low, and then charge me $30 dollars for "diabetes curve management". Or she'd take all the credit, and then charge me $30 for telling me that.

I tested at +1.5 and he came up with a pretty blue. Surprised me after two days of greens.

That is such a low blue though...and it is the breffis talking....he just might be back to greens before you know it!

Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 help with curve again?

Can you guys provide advice based on the inconsistent data I have in Maverick's spreadsheet? I always thought because he rose a bit after the +5 mark that he peaked here. I think I've been all wrong. Or boosting his times up is playing with things a bit. I never expected he'd still be dropping at the +8 mark today (someone told me to test every hour between +4 and +8 today).

I'm so confused. Tomorrow I'll try and match the testing so we can see what he does. confused_cat confused_cat confused_cat confused_cat

Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 help with curve again?

if he is a grazer, it could be as simple as just eating at different times than usual today.

Nadirs do move around, and it's good to do those later tests every now and then just to be sure the nadir is still where you think it is. ;-)

Re: 11/21 Maverick AMPS 81 help with curve again?

What a great day today! You doing so well--Moonie's nadir is about +5-+6, so I know when to test her & when to leave food if I will be out.
Keep that green going-Great job.

So I did a lot of testing today. Based on all of todays numbers it looks like it would be at the 9 Hour mark. Tomorrow I will try and figure out testing against this somehow to see if it was a one off day today.

And I messed up data entry into his spreadsheet today - updated and corrected it.

His PMPS test was wierd. I tried to get the strip to suck up some blood but missed it (just a teeny amount of blood was on the very tip of the strip - no error code or anything). So I used the same strip and it came up with 4.1 as a number. I redid the test with a new strip and it was 4.8. So I used this number. Is this what you guys would have done?

good looking SS Karrie. You can test the same blood droplet and get a 20% meter variance, 4.1 and 4.8 are essentially the same number. There's never anything wrong with a retest if you question a result. good job on your curve.
