Milo was all over the place yesterday, but at least I caught him hit green!! I just don't get why he would then jump all the way back to pink...?? I am wondering about giving him the snack at +4. Looks like it might have raised his numbers a little. Also wonder about giving him the half piece of shrimp. I have a hard time believing the shrimp would cause his numbers to jump that much, but maybe. I will be withholding any shrimp today, but should I fed more small meals, or stick with just an AM meal and a PM meal? Planning of getting +3, +5, +7, +9 reading today.

Morning Milo! Nice cycles yesterday - and green too! I expect that the higher numbers later in the day were a bounce from the green. I hope Milo will clear it soon. If it were my cat I would continue with the meal offerings during the day. There is another bean out there that also gives shrimp as a treat - lucky kitties!

Michelle, I didn't even think about the higher numbers being caused from his dip into green. When he was first diagnosed and placed on lantus, his numbers stablized very quickly and he held in the greens for days--none of this bouncing I am seeing this time around. I feel like a newbie having to relearn how Milo reacts to the insulin.

I usually feed freeze dried salmon from petsmart, but decided to buy a package of frozen shrimp and just dethaw a couple of pieces at a time to give as a treat as well. Given the cost of the freeze dried salmon, the shrimp is actually less expensive. Both Milo and his brother, Monty love the freeze dried salmon, but only Milo will eat the shrimp. Because of that, I have been giving the shrimp since I know Monty will not steal it from Milo... I hope the spike was from the dip into the green instead of the shrimp since I still have plenty to give as a treat. I think I will post this question in the general forum.

I agree with Michelle that it looks like a bounce from the green. Come on Milo...don't be afraid of greens boy....
They all seem to bounce...new game this time around Kelly...you are doing good though...just hang on!!
The small meals are a good thing during the day....sometimes when they are dropping, it's good to feed a little LC to slow the drop....

Milo has had a great day today...He spent some quality time in the nice blue waters. I think today has been his most stable day yet!!!
