Maggie's feeling good this morning getting me up at 1:30 a.m. to check her bg and then have some food and play. I may have done a partial fur shot. She's not used to getting a shot in the scruff and resisted a little. I didn't smell any Lantus so maybe most got injected.

Thanks to Jill & Alex and Sienne & Gabby for advice on dosing yesterday. I feel for now the .50 dose is a good one. I tend to worry with low numbers is why I was leaning towards .25 dose, but I can see she's doing okay with this dose!

Okay, I think I'm back on track a little - this is with food withheld for over two hours. I've been up since 1:30 am (insomnia). Maybe that wasn't a fur shot last night! She was starving, so after taking her bg, I fed her some Chopped Grill Sophisticat mixed in with Merrick BG1 Chicken.

Great to see Maggie in some better #s after the 200s, isn't it amazing how they just need a little Lantus to get going again? Wishing you both a great day!

Thanks Michelle & Mannie and Roni & Moonie! It is a little easier the second time around. Yes, I was tempted to start lower, but thanks to advice, the .50 is best to start.

I think these last two are food spikes. I was gone for several hours this morning but left food for her - almost a clean plate. No lacking appetite for Maggie. It's cold here in southern California.
