We are having a quiet peaceful day here, a bit of a late start on the day, I was up til 2:45 cleaning up a near-miss grease fire in my kitchen. What made me think I knew how to deep fry baby squid?

Shadow slept thru the excitement last night, just like she is sleeping today, always in search of a sunny spot. 3/5 P's. Her appetite is nothing compared to what it used to be, now it is much more in line with the other monsters. She is very content with small frequent bites.

Our greens and black-eyed peas are cooking away on the stove, we wish good luck, good health and prosperity for all of us.

Shadow is doing so well -- way to bring in the New Year! Sorry about the grease fire. I also fried calamari last night -- must be a Southern thing to eat squid on New Year's Eve! Keep up the good work.
