1/22 Simon PMPS 112; +2 112 +3 107

Simon is looking good this morning and I am going to try and test more often today. I have to run a lot of errands so I'm not sure I can get another test done between +2 and +6, but I'll definitely be able to test more frequently when I get home. I really want to see what he is doing throughout the day so I can better understand things. I think I will also try to see what happens when the automatic feeder opens. I am curious to see if my civvie is running over to the feeder or if it is just Simon.

I am still amazed at how the canned food only diet is giving me a whole new cat with my civvie, Cleo. She now is coming downstairs to eat in the morning. For the last 11 years, I have had to bring her breakfast up to her in the bedroom and she would hide under my bed for most of the day. She is definitely more relaxed looking and not as scared around people. The best part is she is grooming herself a little better and I don't have to give her any more "butt washings"! She used to only want to eat dry food and very little canned so this is a huge change for her. Simon always liked canned food better so I don't see as much of a personality change in him. Animal Psychologists ought to do a study on this canned food only phenomenon.

Thats so awesome about your Civie being more social and outgoing. Does she get treats when Simon gets his insulin too?

Morning Simon and Georgia! happy caturday! Awesome on the more testing today - it really is such a help to know how their cycles progress. It will help you better understand what happens throughout the day.

Good luck with the feeder observation. I use one too - Mannie sort of gets it, but takes his time getting over there. By then the civvie, who has also figured out that there is food in it, usually beats him too it. Now how to deal with that....

Nice too on the civvie and the canned food. I too changed the civvies diet here to canned - what a difference! Extra weight came off, they are more active, feel better, look better. Darn nice to see, isn't it?

Good afternoon Looks like Simon is having a great, green surf today!

Diet can truly make a difference in a cat's personality. My Miss Belle would be so much more social when she was on a wet/raw diet. The difference was alway so remarkable! Hope your civvie continues to show wonderful progress in socialization!!
