Morning and Maggie is feeling good this morning. All the P's are in place except lb, but later, Maggie says, when she's good and ready and don't rush me!! I have a feeling she's going to drop again if I give her a half unit. I really don't like it when she drops to the 70's, as she doesn't want to eat the rest of the day except if I give her some of her fav FF Grilled Salmon. Vines and prayers for the kitties not feeling well today.

Morning Ann & Maggie! Nice AMPS! I have recently tried about 7/8 crushed temptations on Shadow's food when I want his numbers to come up and it works beautifully. Not sure what that stuff is made of, but it entices him to eat for sure! Roni/Moonie do that too sometimes. Shadow never wanted to eat when his numbers went <50 and I had to syringe gravy into his mouth many times.
I used to give them about 5 each night and boy, did they love them! I shudder when I think of it now. But hey, we all have learned so much about dry food, right? But just a few of them crushed really well on top of the LC gives his numbers a nice boost. Maybe Maggie will like to eat if that is sprinkled on top when you want her numbers higher.
Did you get the new meter yet? :mrgreen:

Hi Pat,
Thanks for the tip of placing Temptations sprinkled on top of lc when Maggie doesn't want to eat. I used to give them to her pre-diabetes, and she loved them. As for the new meter :mrgreen: , ha, ha, you caught me again! I just asked Jackie about it in her condo. She's an AT user and may be switching to Freestyle!

Thanks Iorwen & Tray. Pat just gave me a nice tip to get her to eat instead of the FF hc if she gets low again.

Morning Karrie, and yes, you're right about earning reductions. We could assume she's gone low when I've been gone and give her a reduction that way, right....not!!! I would just like to see her with a nice surf of numbers and not have to worry!

I definitely understand. Maggie must have really liked the falls though. Making her bean run/worry so she can get back there.

This is unusual as she sometimes drops at the +2. I just opened a can of Merrick Cowboy Cookout earlier, and Maggie loved it. A little higher in carbs than her usual Supreme Sophisticat Chopped Grill, but she seems to be tired of the chopped grill. I may be able to get out early and do a few things as later in the day parking is a problem.

Hi Karrie. I'm back, and she didn't pull any funnies with me. She has decided to be a surfer girl today! I left some Merrick Cowboy Cookout and Sophisticat Chopped Grill, and she was good to go.

Celia, those pics are a scream! You have a talent for just the right pic for the occasion! I love the kitty with the ears, what is the breed - so cute!

Beautiful Blue cycle--Told ya those temptations do work to bring thses low numbers up!
All blue cycle leads to a green one!!HUGS! :mrgreen:
 
Another great couple cycles for Maggie... looking good! Contemplating a meter change? I used the freestyle lite strips in the alphatrak before I switched to a human meter... I have to say, the strips are great!
