Good Morning Everyone,

We have tons of new snow. Our walkway looks like a tunnel! Even our plower hasn't been able to keep up with the rate at which the snow is coming down. I just got back from taking DH to yoga class and the streets, as always, are well plowed. It's just the getting to the street that's a challenge! The snow banks on the sides of the roads where the plows have pushed up the snow are 5 or 6 feet high! You can't see around corners. The natives say that we are having an old-fashioned winter.
Rusty, of course, just sits on the radiator and watches the snow: doesn't have to go out in it! He woke me up about an hour early this morning with head butts and squirms. I thought I had missed the alarm, but I think that Rusty is beginning to notice that the days are getting longer! We had a good test and shot (bg still a bit high) and he gobbled up all of his breakfast (usually he saves some for the "2nd sitting"). All Ps present and we have had a brief play with Red Ears. Big Bug was ignored this morning. The rhythms of the day seem to be changing.
Everyone have a good day. I plan to spend it at my desk, activating and learning how to use my new IPhone, which arrived yesterday. Tomorrow we're going to picnic in the snow and cold. More about that later.

Love my iphone. Enjoy playing with it I'm not really geeky and really needed it for work email. But some people can find really cool stuff for it. Right now its sole purpose seems to be multi-alarm clock - dog heart meds, Maverick testing and insulin reminders. His bean is horrible at multitasking and 5 minutes of something ends up being an hour.

Hope Rusty has a nice green day today. Gave Maverick a furshot last night with the long needles and I'm nervous about what AMPS will be in an hour. HATE the long needles and Maverick's hair.

But Ella, your streets sound awful! All that snow!!!
And I do hope you will be inviting me to the outdoor snow picnic...I would love to come...

Ok, now I have to go btb and stay warm under the covers. All this talk of all that snow and now you want to have a picnic in it...oh my...I am freezing just thinking about it! Of course you will be cross country skiing out to the place in the meadow where you will put your blanket down, right? Oh, I am sooo cold!!

People in Florida shouldn't read things like this. They could have a hear attack.
You see, it's 51°F and cloudy here. It is SO cold. I hate days like this. Where is the warm sun?? I think I have to turn the heat on. I hope you enjoy your day Ella...congratulations on the new phone! :mrgreen:

Morning! Rusty - not too bad this morning - but I bet you can do better... greens my friend, OK?

SWEET on the new iPhone. I still need to do something about mine... this mission will be addressed on Wednesday when I head on downtown. new phone!, I hope. Need to address anew computer too - as this one is frustrating as can be: guess it is entitled after nine years of continuous work...

Nice on the snow - it seems like a record winter for so many. I just can't imagine 6' snow banks from all that plowing - where will they put all the new? and a snow picnic??? SWEET! Can't wait to hear about that...

We have snow too, Ella, just not as much. I can't imagine going through your winters. I'm glad Rusty is enjoying his warm perch on the radiator and eating all his fuds. Have a great day.

Actually, we have changed the venue for tomorrow because the road that we would have taken to get to the trailhead isn't plowed. So our ski/snowshoe will be somewhat shorter, but should be very interesting, since it's near some of the waters we paddle in the warmer months. I am sorry that you won't be coming, Pat! We have "guest" snowshoes that you could have worn. And Edward says he would carry your 3 sticks of kindling for you. Oh well, maybe next time!

Rusty's PMPS is higher again tonight. I don't think I have found his ideal dose yet. PMPS could be a bit of a food spike, however, since he ate some food that was in his dish about 1 hour before PMPS. Started a new box of test strips at PMPS. After dinner we had a great play with Big Bug. Two wonderful new catnip toys from Kittty Hooch that I ordered on Barbara and Tuffy's recommendation came today, but so far Rusty has ignored them. ECID! They are really splendid toys! I hope he will come to like them. They are made with whole catnip, very fresh from an Oregon farm, and have no artificial fibers or artificial anything.

Hi Ella, we have the same snow situation you do. It's been howling wind all day, but sunny, so it looked pretty, as it kept blowing and bulding up, in front of my door. :roll:

Gee,too bad about the picnic tomorrow,I thought I'd invite myself to drive up there and join your party. :lol:

Hi Ella, Edward and Rusty. Enjoy your day tomorrow. I don't think I could tolerate the snow anymore. It was 85 yesterday and 2 hours later it was 59. Today did not get above 50. But, that being said, you have had a horrible winter. Think Spring.

Rusty please come back down to your nicer numbers. Would be nice if we knew why they do what they do.

Glad the toys arrived. My kitties sometime ignore new toys. I remember when I replaced the cat tree it took 3 days for them to use it and I thought what a waste of money, now they fight over the top spot. They can be very indifferent can't they?

sorry that Rusty's preshots are higher than you would like, Ella...but he did hit green in there today, that's a good thing.
Snow, snow, snow...I am so tired of it myself. Seems every time I make an apt. for Spot to get his dentals, we have bad weather. You guys got more snow than us, but I hear that it's going to be 0 degrees tonight...brrrr...I couldn't imagine even thinking about a snow picnic!

I didn't know people in FLorida had heat in their homes or cars You couldn't pay me to go on a snow picnic either and I absolutely hate the canal for skating LOL. Some people are winter people though - so I'm really glad someone enjoys it lots, like you and Edward.

I love the winter,I loved the snow, till This Winter!!!--We have had what you got Ella, too many times this winter!!--Some areas you can enjoy it, like where you are...Some areas, it's just a pain!
Enjoy the beauty ofthe winter though--I am having a cozy one!

Rusty is doing so so well..I know the blue is sometimes not what we want, but it can always get better--
