2/9 Maverick - PMPS 93 ordered a nanner!

Yesterday:

So I have lost ANOTHER bundle of strips. They had the longest expiry so I put them away so I wouldn't use them first. ohmygod_smile Why do I do this. I even threw out a whole bundle of expensive aviva strips thinking it was empty and realized after the garbage was picked up that day. Another road trip to augdensburg (160 miles) to save about 60$ is worth it once I figure in gas, tolls and duty. Anyone want me to pick up kitty cubes while I'm there? They are 4$ each and I can ship them when I get back. Wonder how much it costs to ship in Canada. I'll bring one of mine to the post office to find out if anyones interested.

His numbers make NO SENSE to me at all.

Last night PMPS: 86
Then +4 which I thought was his nadir: 108!!
Then AMPS 99.
So I'm doing a curve again today - every three hours. Maybe I'm getting lots of furshots, or partial ones with these long needles, or shed is still building. So I tried pinching his skin today.

I have to jump on a conference call. BBL.

Morning! What a nice amps for Maverick. Weird on the +4 yesterday. ?, and no explanation.... Good luck wit the curve!

and yep - done the same thing with the strips. threw out a $55.00 box the other day since they had expired. aiyee!!!. and that was painful.

Ouch on the lost strips. And I was annoyed at an expired bottle of $3.00, acid reducer.
I'm waiting for an order of strips, too It's so frigid out there, I can't leave the house, 'cause they's be left outside.
I assume you shot that 99. You home? I'm so chicken at shooting under 100.

Hi guys, I 've seen that a number of you are waiting on strips. Ouch.

No cubes to be found in Canada that I've found. Shipping from the US often involves expensive and surprising customs fees. I'm never doing that again. No Walgreens that I know of. You guys in the states are sooo lucky (except when it comes to price of insulin, but you get it off of test strips and syringes which we pay a fortune for).

Yep I work from home and not shopping today to do his curve. I may go out later. Maverick has never ever gone low. He's so sweet when it comes to his diabetes.

LOL. I have those days too. :) Go get you some shiny, pretty things. Mav is looking great! Hope you can find the missing strips!

Hi, Karrie and Maverick ... #s may make no sense to you, but they look marvelous ;-)
I do ridiculous things like that too.. I buy meters here.. there... everywhere.. have strips, etc & am just wasting $$ because I always go back to the Relion Micro cat(2)_steam if I had all the $$ I spend on the CrAzY kitties.. I might just be able to send us all to Canada for a group hug to make your day a bit better.

So I've been awol. Hiding really.

I did go shopping and it wasn't the best weather. Bought a breadmaker with a gift certificate I had. And stopped at Global Ryan's for dog food. Ended up getting Maverick three toys including the one Rusty loves - big bug? Got him a mini catnip toy made by the same company that makes Nanners. Guess what!??? They are ordering Maverick a Nanner!!!!!!!!

I can't remember what Ella calls it - its like a thin wire with five little things of cardboard at one end. Thought I'd try it with Maverick.

I work with those who speak french in canada too! in fact some of my data is in french and I always have to "babblefish" it because i forget what it means. :lol: i'm sure i'll learn one of these days.

i hope tomorrow is better for you, and WAY TO GO MAVERICK!!!

well as soon as you said cardboard I was thinking maybe it was this one of my aby breeder friends always sent one of these home in her new kitten bag :-D I have not bought one in years they always got tore up in seconds so I finally gave up on them I buy the Da bird now but the kittens killed it tonight too LOL aby kittens play pretty hard ;-)

Hope Maverick enjoys Big bug at least now when I read Ella's comments about Big Bug I know what it is :razz:
