Good Sunny Saturday Morning LL
Okay maybe not on Max's ss but it is outside.

8th cycle at 5.25u
Brand new 3ml Solar Star pen
+3 310
Negative ketone check last night. (big P)
Those are the numbers for Max today.
Not looking promising anymore but we will wait it out.

WCR: First time in a long while Max was not interested in his breakfast.
Now that worried me. After his test he went to lie by the water fountain and when I brought out his food he did not come to it. He finally did eat, although not
as much as he normally does.
I just fed him again about 1/4 can FF and he ate that.
I hope he is okay.

Max's +3 is coming down...good about the negative ketones....
I have high hopes for Max today...hope you have a great day Randi!!!

Back up at +6~350.
He also is very sleepy today and not that interested in food.
I just checked my own blood to see if the meter was making sense.
Boy does that hurt pricking my finger. So my BG was 52?. WT? That' pretty low.
I guess I better go eat something.

I really hope this new cartridge was good. I really don't know what is
up with Max. I think with a new vet visit tests for IAA & Acro are looking like
serious possibilities.

It's good to hear that ketones are remaining negative. You may want to put a note in the subject line of your first post asking if a dosecrease is needed. If you could do this anytime after +9, I suspect more folks will be around to brainstorm with you. I think there's room to go up but I'd want more experienced folks to take a look.

There are quite a few acro Moms with condos today. If you haven't doen so already, you might want to pop in to see Milo, Chika, Joan and Madison, KB, Leo, and Bayley's condos.

Thanks Linda - I happened upon Madison by chance. I will go and look for the others now.
I printed out Madison's old link, many pages, to read through.

Thanks Siennee - As per some advice I had overnight, I could go ahead and increase to .5 wither tonight or latest tomorrow. 2 straight lousy days. Poor Max

hey Randi

hows the weather there today? Max not liking the weather maybe? its kinda dreary here and kitties are boring today, not much activity, too much sleeping and just plain old bored.

Hope Max brightens up by now..have u tried a bit of playtime?

Max is being opposite of the weather. It was bright, sunny and warm today. Max slept pretty much all through it. Right now he is moving between 2 chairs.

Maybe I will go "play" with him. At 18.5 pounds he is not known to be frisky.
He seems sad today.

I hope you feel a bit better later. Some special attention from Randi is a good thing.

Well Max has not seen any of those lovely yellow or blues in the last 2 days.
He has stayed very flat and very pink.

These were the 2 cycles that I left him at 5.25 which was last nights advice to increase afterwards if nothing happened today.

My question is, am I increasing to 5.5 (by .25) or to 5.75 (by .5). I am getting heartsick that he i fast approaching 6u and we don't seem to get anywher. Not one shade of green on this journey so far and barley any blue either. There must be something else wrong with him.
Urinlysis from last week is negative. No infections there.
 
Don't get focused on the amount of the dose. Focus on Max -- how is he feeling?

There are any number of kitties here who's dose has gone up the ladder only to come back down. There are some high dose kitties who are on whopping amounts of insulin and they are happy and purry. Max is neither his BG number nor his dose. Those are not the things you love.
 
are u considering the acro test Randi?

u know ur cat best - if he seems "off" u can see that day to day

is there anything else u can think of?
 
I really don't know. I was home mos of the day and he rarely left his chair.
BIg difference from the past few days when he was all over the house. I am not even sure about an LB action.

Tonight he even fought me for his test. I just did a +4 and he was at 214.
He would not go to his chair and I had to hold him down on the kitchen floor. he did not even want his chicken treats but he is hanging around his food mat.
