2/19 akane AMPS 137, +2 232, +4 211, +7 353

Thank you, Libby! I will be home so I held the dose and shot 0.5 very tiny fat again. He is now 232 at +2, zooming.

I have not put any lab data on this board but he has slight problem with(in?) kidney and liver. His BUN 60, CRE 2.3 in Dec. USG was still within normal so he has not received sub q fluids yet, that is his vet's policy.. His liver enzymes AST and ALT elevated and he lost appetite last summer but the numbers greatly improved with medicine called Urso. He is still put on it.

I write this because he does not seem very happy with these great numbers. He eats well and did scratching with cardboard but sounded a bit weak.. Hope that is nothing serious! Will he zoom zoom until +12..?

akane will probably bounce today. don't worry. it's to be expected.
happy to hear akane is eating well. have you been checking for ketones?

Thank you, Jill. I checked ketone this morning and it was negative but noticed slight trace of protein again. He has been put on Fortekor (benazepril) for urinal protein and has been negative.. He came down a little to 211 at + 4.

i'm glad you're testing for ketones.
i'm not familiar with treating protein in the urine. hopefully, the Fortekor will take care of the problem.

I really should take him to the vet again. It will be 2 months since the last visit. He rose to 353..sleeping.

just a little bounce, that is to be expected. I can't help with protein in the urine either, sorry.
