Bob....since Arnie seems to bounce so high by PMPS have you tried to feed him higher carb food during the day to see if will keep him from bouncing so high.

Higher carb food during the day? Never heard of that approach but it's worth a try I guess!! Right now he eats nothing but FF Turkey and Giblets 3 cans a day. Well he gets one in the morning after insulin then one in the afternoon usually right before I leave for job #1 then he gets 3/4 of a can at night when I come home between job #1 and job #2...when I get home early in the AM he gets the remaing 1/4 can to hold him over until the morning feeding 3 hours later after insulin. I could try substituting the afternoon can for something a little higher..any suggestions as to what kind? or how much more carbs?

Do you have a timed feeder?
I think if you did this might spread Arnie's food out a little better during the day.
Is he a grazer or does he eat all his food at one time?
I don't know if this would make any difference but my thoughts are when Arnie has a high PMPS it could be that he goes low during the day. Smaller meals with higher carbs may keep him from going low.
I think if you add a little HC gravy to his LC turkey it will make it medium carb.
Let me run this by a few people and see what they think.

Putty also does not graze but eats his food as soon as it is put down. I did get a timed feeder so he could get mini-meals. He does sit in front of it waiting for the grand opening. :roll:
It was just a thought that if Arnie had smaller meals spread out over the day it may or may not help with his big bounces and since you obviously cannot be there to feed him all day a timed feeder might be helpful.
