Hi everybody. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers. Last night after I signed off for the night Tori let me syringe feed her again before I went to bed. She didn't like it but I managed to get another 30cc in (minus what went into her fur and the towel so probably 20cc). She spent the time cuddled up on Ayanna's bed with her very best friend in the world.
This morning she took a few nibbles of food and that was it for breakfast. I tried finger feeding her with a bit more success and then gave her some medical by syringe. The same was repeated at lunch. The syringe feeding is very stressful for both of us. Hard to tell who it is harder on (maybe me).
This afternoon at 530 we are going to see Dr Doug to discuss what are options here are. Is the inappetence salmonella infection related or is it caused by a spreading lymphoma? The type of lymphoma Tori has usually does not spread throughout the body. Does Doug feel that she has a change of recovering from this or is this the beginning of the end? Would changing antibiotics or any other med changes help? Is a feeding tube a practical and reasonable step to take? So many questions. I hope he can help me decide what to do from here. If he does recommend the feeding tube my daughter is in agreement with it. My son will be another matter I think. I don't want WWIII to break out in my home but I will do what is best for Tori.
Whatever Doug has to say Tori will be coming home tonight. I don't think Tori is ready to go anywhere yet.
Please keep us in your prayers this afternoon. You have no idea on how much I count on them. You folks keep me marginally sane I think. Please share any comments you have on what I'm doing here. They help me in my decision making.
I hope everybody is having a good day. I'm going to visit condos now for a while.
