Hi Everyone,
We are home in the Adirondacks after another puzzling day of bg numbers. We think that yesterday's PMPS may have been another fur shot (Edward smelled insulin several hours after the shot was given: but I didn't smell it when I gave the shot and I thought the shot went in!). In any event, the AMPS 230 this morning certainly indicates something--either a fur shot or the insulin pooping out. Of course there may be shed issues here, too. Anyway, the more I thought about it, the more I am inclined to believe that it may be the insulin (198 at PMPS is quite a jump for Rusty for that time of day!), so we began a new Lev. cartridge at PMPS tonight. I only got 28 days out of the old one; Lev. is supposed to be good for 42 days. The old cartridge was in the new insulin cooler on the trip to NYC, and I think it was too cold, even though I had wrapped it in papers.

Anyway, we are home safely and Rusty had a good trip. Tomorrow afternoon through Friday we are expecting 14 inches of new snow, so It's just as well that we left today and had good driving weather.

To visit a few condos now, before I conk out totally!

Welcome back - I am glad you made it home before the snows hit. I can't believe that you are still getting snow. :-D

It is odd to see such numbers for Rusty. Maybe the pen? Do you think that maybe the cooler was too cold? well, now that he is home, and life is routine again he'll be back down to those great numbers.

Rusty - dude!!!!! I had such a grand time in the big apple. hey - did you hear? we made so much money off of you guys singing in the subway that we could buy our own hot dog cart!! It's now installed in the bus. SWEET, huh! central park was so cool too - those carriages!! and the horses!!! hey - rest up so we can do something tomorrow. Sounds like maybe we need to dig more snow tunnels at your place... ~~ Mannie

Welcome home, good timing on beating the snow! These numbers are really so unRusty like. I hope the new pen does the trick, we're thinking the same ourselves.

Welcome back! I think you have it under control and it will be no time before Rusty is back on track. It wasn't that long ago Maggie got into the 200's, and it turned out to be the insulin and also some fur shots. I can't believe you're getting 12 inches of snow. We had 76 degrees today, too warm for me! Get some rest.

Ella: Hope it's something weird like the cartridges and hope he's back down tomorrow. Aahhh...Rusty...yellow ain't for you!

A foot of snow?!? Holy cow!! I guess I better stop complaining about the inch that we got on Sunday night (that had melted by the next morning!)

Sorry to see Rusty showing such high numbers.. I'm sure with the new pen and no furshots, he'll be back down in Rustyrange in no time!!

Glad to hear you had safe travels!! Have a good night!
