4/4 Guinness AM346, +2.5 273, PMPS334, +3 323, +6 295

Good Morning Lantus Land. It's my first day back to work since getting Guinness back on the juice. I can take a +3 (a plus 2.5 really) right before I leave for work and then nothing until a +11 probably. I'm not too worried about his numbers dropping too significantly today, but I wish they would a least start to respond somewhat to the insulin. I think the lower numbers at the beginning (on Friday) were a result of the fluids that the vet gave him. I should get a call from the vet today with his results from his senior panel.

Got some results from his senior panel today, but nothing conclusive as to why he has decided to come off his honeymoon.

Kidney function normal
No on first look bacteria in urine, but now running a culture to be 100% sure
Thyroid level a 2.5 (told it was on the high side), also running a Free T-4, results later
Protein levels slightly elevated
BG at time of test 404
Lots of glucose in urine.

She mentioned possible pancreatitis, but can't be sure. So right now we are not sure what is causing his elevated numbers. He will have a full dental on Friday with x-rays to be sure there is nothing going on there.

On the plus side, his brother, Harp (same age, different color), had his blood work done and is all good. He's had his share of problems, crypto, broken knee, idiopathic cystitis, so it's always a blessing when he comes back from the vet with a clean bill of health. dancing_cat

Went straight from +3 test to water bowl :sad: Then layed down. Come on insulin, please kick in. Starting to suspect hyperthyroidism causing big numbers, but not confirmed yet.

We hope he does not have pancreatitis but it sure would be nice to find some reason why he left the Falls. Come back down off the pink floor Guinness!!! Good luck on the rest of the tests, Linda.

I'll take the 295, but I wish it was lower.
