Good Friday Morning, and Good Earth Day, Everyone,

It's not raining or snowing but it is cold. Rusty is enjoying his spot on the radiator. He had a good night, good test this morning, so-so shot (maybe slightly less insulin because of a stubborn bubble), good breakfast in 2 sittings, and a good schmooze with his beans. Red Ears and Big Bug are waiting for a play, but Rusty isn't interested yet. He's more interested in the birds in the garden! We'll go outside later, after it warms up a bit.

Everyone have a good day. Thinking good thoughts for our ailing kitties and sending healing vines.

OT, Loose Lips: Our cellar floor is a mess from the ground water melt. I mop up about 5 or 6 gallons of water every 2 hours or so. I'm a bit worried about what will happen when we go to NYC on Sunday. The last time we had seeping ground water--3 years ago--it took about 2 weeks for the flow to stop. And that year we didn't have nearly the amount of snow that we had this year. There is one bad leak (I accidentally put my finger through it and made it worse 3 years ago), but I am afraid to open a Pandora's Box if I try to chisel it out and plug it with hydraulic cement! I'm going out to buy some more big sponges!

I hope you get that cellar cleaned out, sounds like an awful situation to deal with.

Sounds like all is right in Rusty's world today!!

I've lived here in the desert for so long,where it's so dry most of the time, that I always envy people when they say it's raining or snowing....until I hear about what you're going through and I realize I'm not missing much!! :lol:

Rusty is always a joy to visit, such nice numbers every morning. I'm with Patty, I love 4 seasons, but I too remember leaky basements when the snow is melting faster than the ground.

'They' keep promising a warmup here, but so far it ain't comin' It's 33 right now.

morning guys! very nice start today Rusty! You enjoy that radiator - I can't think of a better place for a kitty to be on a cold morning. I hope it warms up for you so you can go out and play. best leave the birds alone though...

Sorry for the cellar Ella - We have had a few sessions over the years where the snow melts faster than the ground can handle. what a mess. You have my sympathies. I hope it lessens some before you have to leave for the big city.

Yuckus on the cellar water....what a pain and a mess that must be. Glad you are getting to go to NYC again though!!!

Rusty had a great time in the garden this afternoon. He sniffed the air, he tried to outwit the birds (without success), he sat in the sun, he walked on the stone wall, he was a joy to watch. Neighbor "Shadow" was out with his beans, but Rusty didn't see him.

The cellar is even worse than it was this morning. The seepage is from the ground up, not the other way around. The ground has been frozen since December and now it is thawing. I bought 3 sponges, but it's futile. I even tried using the shop vac, but the water kept up with me!!

Good evening everyone. Now to check on some condos. Rusty is busy with KTSS.

Sounds like Rusty really enjoys his time outside, Ella :smile:
I occasionally take Checkers out on a harness & leash, but he really doesn't like it outside. He gets spooked easily.
He won't walk, just stands in one spot chewing grass. I love the picture of Rusty on the stone wall. Sounds like a picture out of a book I read.
