Happy Friday, Everyone,

Serious flooding here in the North Country: roads closed, rivers way out of their banks, properties under water, the dam and bridge in our village in danger (as is a large water main near the dam--it would be awful, surrounded by water, not to have water!!). We are hoping for the best. Our cellar "lake" is small potatoes compared to the destruction in the region.

Rusty is not bothered by the weather. He's GREEN!! I worried that I might have given a fur shot this morning because I smelled Lev. right after the shot. But then I didn't smell it any more, so it may just have been residue on the syringe. I hope so. I would hate to louse up his bg again, just when he was getting back to normal! He was sitting on the test site, meowing at +3. I don't usually do a +3, so I thought he was telling me something and that we needed to test. So we tested and got 99. Onset hasn't begun yet, it would seem (Lev. has a later onset than Lantus).

Back later. I have taken out 21 gallons of water from our cellar floor so far this morning and it has all filled back in again. It's hopeless.

Ugh sorry about the weather situation and your poor cellar, you must be exhausted.

At least Rusty is doing great, hope the greens stick around and he surfs the day away.

Oh Ella, my heart pounds when I read your threads, the last few days. I wish I could drive to your house with a pail.
All I can do is pray that the water starts to recede soon. I'm so scared for you.

On the other hand, I'm glad Rusty is doing so well, and he isn't bothered by all this commotion at home.

Hi guys ... great numbers for rusty today, sad news on everything else going on around you .. I will keep you guys in our prayers that the water goes down soon and no more damage is done .. stay safe guys!

What a wat to start the day! Sheesh on the basement, at least you were prepared and didn't have things where they would get damaged. Paws crossed nd prayers for all thise who have been the brunt of thus weird weather. Blue skies soon!

you must just want to give up on the basement! how discouraging to have it filling up as fast as you are bailing. When is the weather supposed to let up? or is this water left over from a few days ago?

Ella: wonderful numbers for Rusty!!!! I love seeing him in green at his AMPS and then this surf.

So worried about you all....we hope the dam, bridge, and water main will hold. It's not only dangerous as it is raining but also for a while after it subsides as it takes much time to clear that amount of water downstream and so the attenuation of flows is a huge concern. The ground is already saturated so there's nowhere for it to go. We are keeping you all in our prayers.

Hi again, Rusty had a green surf all day and is practically green at PMPS!! Our cellar is the same. The bridge and dam are "stable at present". We had no rain today, but it threatened all day.

Off now to visit some condos. Sorry to be largely absent today. We spent a lot of time in the cellar!!

YAY!!!! And look at those numbers!! GO RUSTY!!!! I love that fact that he came and got you for a test - just so you'd know he was green! Darn awesome! :mrgreen:
