5/17 Gus PMPS 461 OUCH!

Very long day for Gus. He had his rotting tooth removed and another one because of a cavity. He handled the anesthesia alright. He's eating a little until his mouth hurts and then he stops. Drinking, peeing, pooping and purring OK. He'll be sore again tomorrow, I suppose. Long day for Mamma bean too. Can't wait to hit the hay. Good night to all our dear friends who sent good thoughts our way today. And thank you. BTW, Gus had his blood drawn today for the acro and IAA tests. While I was at the vet's office this evening, waiting to take him home, the FedEx fella came in and took the samples away. So, it won't be long now before I find out the whole story.

Poor Gus...hopefully he'll be feeling better quickly - AND showing you some great new numbers. Did they give you any pain meds for him? Trix was on bupe for a few days after her dental...she was a bit silly while on it, but I think it helped her quite a bit.

Actually, yes, Gus is on bupe as well. The whole right side of his face is all swollen. My poor handsome man. :cry:

aw, Gus...KTSS is on the way with some chicken soup and some spa treatments to make you feel better!!

Bev, I'm glad you and Gus are back home and that the extractions went well.. I hope Gus feels better soon, and you get some much needed sleep tonight..

I am relieved to read that all went well. Poor Gus!!! I know though that he will feel so much better once all has healed. Did they put him on any AB's too? Considering all he has been through, not too bad of a pmps. I am interested in seeing how the teeth removal will affect his BG. Good luck. and good luck too with the blood work. Bev: ouch yes but not that bad considering the day he had!!! I'm glad he made it through with flying colors. Sending healing vines for him. And I understand from Gracie and Tobey that KTSS is on the way; Tobey gives the BEST massages you know!!
