Hi all Do Lou is doing great all P's in place :razz: its my youngest sons 26th b-day and we were supposed to be at the newport aquarium but I was sick all night with a migraine and also this morning its just now letting up so we are going to try again next monday, its just so upsetting these migraines they have been interrupting my life now for well over 10 yrs and I am just so worn out from them have had one for the past 11 days I started to write everything down again to keep better track well anyway I am rambling hope everyone is doing well cats and Beans in LL hope to visit condos later when my eyes are not so blurry. We also switched to bayer contour meter a close friend who is diabetic gets his strips mailed to him every month and he does not test his blood much well anyway he gave me over 500 strips none expired so i had to get the meter is all. I bought the USB meter its pretty cool.

So good to hear that Do Lou is doing well. I wish that your migraines would go away so that we could say the same for you! At least you have your DS's birthday celebration still to look forward to.
Wow on the 500 strips and more to come. That is a fabulous windfall!

Hope you feel better soon, Lisa! I've never had a migraine, but I do have a friend who also suffers terribly. Good to hear how well Do Lou is today. Happy Birthday to your DS.

Thanks all for the well wishes on my head feeling not as bad tonight but still in what I call migraine hangover mode DS and I did go to dinner and ran some errands certainly not what was planned but still had some time together and hope next week works out for the aquarium

Lisa, I hope you are feeling better tomorrow. As you know, I have been having terrible problems lately with migraines and I know how they can just sabatoge everything you have planned. It is so depressing not being able to just do whatever you want without worrying if you will have a headache or not. I think I have mentioned before that acupuncture has been my saving grace. Unfortunately, it is quite expensive so I can't go as much as I need to. Definitely give it a try sometime. You have to give it a few weeks in order to tell if it is helping. Hope you have a quiet, restful evening.

Awesome on scoring some Contour strips from your friend....that's great. I recently switched to the Contour and love it. Hope your head feels better.

I'm sorry about the Migraines. I'm glad you got to go to dinner with DS. Hopefully next week, you'll feel great, and will have a wonderful time at the aquarium with him.

Hey Lisa! I used to be able to get a lot of my strips from my dad cuz he has diabetes, but his doctor wrote him a new prescription for only testing once a day so he doesn't get nearly as many strips as he used to, so none for me :sad: Thank goodness for ebay!!

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with migraines. My daughter started getting them at age five and her trigger was, get this, lots of laughing. Everytime she went to a sleepover, a party, or a dance, she would get severe migraines with nausea and vomiting and then she would have to sleep for 15 hours afterward. Her doc said it would probably get worse with puberty, but they actually decreased!! To this day, though, she takes four ibuprofen (800 mg) before going to any function where she thinks she might have fun! I work for several neurologists here in Las Vegas, one of whom is a headache specialist. You might want to see if there's one in your area (if you haven't already). There are new products and techniques coming out all the time so they might have something new for you to try.

Good luck with everything. At least Do Lou is being a good kitty and giving you a good PMPS so you don't have that to deal with!!
