Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty has been trending too high, so I put the drop back on his dose (back to fat 0.75). Today's shot was an "ouchie" (he "spoke" and tried to pull away). But he has forgiven me (he is such a love bug). He is reacting to the change in the weather, as are we all. Yesterday it was hot and very windy; today it is cold and very windy (no rain yet, however). We are so happy that we cancelled the paddle. It would have been impossible in this weather. The cellar is about the same, perhaps a little better after yesterday's heat. This afternoon a contractor (the guy who does our snowplowing and who specializes in jobs "under ground") is coming to look at it. Once it dries out (if it ever does!!) we want to have the concrete floor re-done and the holes and thin spots repaired. I think it's too big a job for us to do ourselves, even with the expert help of friends.

Rusty was eager to get us up this morning and eager for breakfast (2 sittings). He has been napping in his perch by the radiator all morning (a hint to turn on the heat? NO WAY will we turn on the heat in June!).

Everyone have a good day. We are sending good thoughts and prayers and dental vines to Donovan for his dental surgery, and to Tobey for his echocardiogram. Also keeping all our ailing kitties in our thoughts and prayers.
We hope that everyone who lives in the Boston area was unharmed by the tornados.

Hi guys .. I hope that bit of extra juice brings rusty back down to the low blues .. rusty, you are silly for wanting the heat on! I hope that your contractor can help with your cellar .. have a great day guys!

hope that extra bit if juice helps Rusty's numbers come down.
Good luck with that cellar too.

Extra drops are amazing sometimes, paws crossed.

Sometimes jobs like your cellar just need a pro, cement work can be tricky. Good luck!

Hi again,
Rusty got green at PMPS!! He slept all day. This is indeed hibernation weather (the high was about 45 degrees with dark skies, drizzle, and brisk winds). He devoured his dinner and is sleeping in his basket.

The contractor came to look at the cellar and we have decided on a course of action after the water stops spouting in the main hole. He is going to drill some cores in various places in the cellar to see what the lay of the land is (as it were), fill them with hydro cement, and maybe put in a second sump and sump pump. This sounds good to us. He doesn't think we need to re-do the entire floor and it might not be a good idea to do this in any event.

Off to visit some condos. We hope you all will have a fine evening,

Hi guys! YAY!!! Rusty has a green pmps!! SWEET! Uh Rusty? Could you come and give Mannie a refresher course on hos that is done? He seems to need a few pointers. :-D

I am glad that you have a plan for the cellar. Good idea to let the pros handle it - less work and achy body parts for you, less worry too. :-D

wow, and bummer on your weather - from one extreme to another! Sounds like it was a very good idea to cancel the paddle. have you been able to go out much yet at all? I know you have done a couple, but it seems far less than you would normally have done. Weather a factor?

Rusty has the right idea - hibernation!

Rusty!! Did you hear about Tobey??? 3vettys !!!!   we gots to go and bring the KTSS. Maybe tomorrow? I dunno.... he's probably very tired. I hope that maybe we an talk him into coming to the party anyways.... maybe. See you there! ~~ Mannie
