Yesterday's Condo

The kitties are just hanging out. When we all woke up, rather than sunshine, it's gloomy and raining. Our heat wave broke overnight with storms. I've got the windows open so I'm hoping Gabby and Gizmo like the cooler breeze.

MMmmmm....cool breeze sounds nice. I actually love the heat, and it's scorching here. But, I found out yesterday that the AC in my car isn't working...suddenly I don't love the heat so much right now. Hopefully it will break soon here, too.

i'm glad your kids are taking this well... gabby has the numbers to show for it too!

frenchie is either hiding:

a. in his box (its a costco pillow box with a oval hole in the front, we put a kitty bed in it rather than pay for kitty furniture.)
b. under, between, around, behind my legs
c. on kev's side of the walk in on top of his jeans, under his dress shirts.
d. on my side of the walk in on top of my sweaters.
e. any of the above as long as he has a hat and/or his kickapoo.

he does not do thunderstorms

Gotta love those cool breezes. The humidity broke here for only a short while, now we're back to sticky hot. Can't complain too much as this is better than 4 feet of snow and -30!!

My guys don't mind the thunderstorms either.

Gabby generally doesn't mind thunderstorms. It's better if the windows are closed to baffle the sound, though. What's really incredible is she's taught Gizmo to not be afraid. The first time there were storms, Gizmo's eyes became huge and he looked like he was going to bolt. Gabby just didn't move, yawned, settled in, and looked bored. Right now, they've been playing -- well sort of playing. Gizmo has been charging into the cubes and Gabby has been screaming at him to the point where he jumps out backwards.

Morgan -- what's D'art's "kickapoo?"

Looks like Gabby means business today! Must be the cooler weather that arrived after the storms. Have a good one.

Wow, look at those numbers this morning, she sure does keep you on your toes!
Just 6hrs north of me and you have the windows open.. Could you please send some of that down here. That's sounds like just a lovely way for your babies to spend the morning. It's still hot, humid and a few days of storms heading our way. I'm glad you kitters don't mind them.

i think it's actual name is a kickeroo, but somewhere along the line I called it a kickapoo and it stuck. we have a few couple "flavors" of them in the house (big, small, plastic sounding, quiet).

he loves holding it and kicking it like a little imp, but then he'll also carry it around the house, curl up with it, rest his head on it like a pillow, groom it, hold it by the scruff when it's been "bad". yeah, it's weird. so he carries it around the house when we have storms, he starts grooming it and it calms him. frenchie and the kickapoo.

gabby and the nerves of iron, loves it!

Gabby definitely never seems to have a dull moment. Look at her numbers...wow!! I am very jeolous of your cooler weather today. We have had 12 days now of temps in the mid to high 90's. It sounded like it might rain with some thunder today, but no luck.

I love that Gabby taught Gizmo to not be worried about thunderstorms. Simon can't tell anything to Cleo.
 
I might have to get one of those... that is right up Elsa's alley. Not to sure on Mannie - but who knows?

oh yeah: nice numbers for Gabby - kept you busy this morning! Looks like she wants to continue tonight too. It is good to read your heat broke with a few storms.
 
i'll be interested to hear what gabby thinks of it!

it took d'art a little bit to get into it, but once he really caught on that he could hold the tail in his mouth and kick the body with his back legs he was all over it. he really digs grooming it.

the kitten moppy one crinkles like plastic, so he likes to really mouth play that one. which sounds so dirty.
